***** As someone who suffers from BPD, I feel pretty safe saying you need to stfu. People with BPD can hold down a stable relationship thank you very much. We don't need to be showered with pills and therapy to function normally. SOME of us need extra help, but most of us just need to be aware of what's happening inside our heads and how to correct our thinking. Having a significant other to help and support during this time is also very beneficial to the sufferer. People with BPD are not manipulators, it just so happens that some people with mental illness are assholes and use their illness as an excuse. Don't confuse the two. It's cool if you've been fucked over by someone mentally ill but if you honestly think mentally ill people should not have relationships until they're healthy you should really shut up and educate yourself as a large number of mental illnesses never go away, you just learn how to better manage them over time. By your logic someone with PTSD should never be allowed to date again because they will always have flashbacks and triggers.. Final note: If she leaves him you now have two single parents with steadily declining mental health and two children aged 3 and under who have a broken family. That will help no one.

Do you suggest men with wives with postpartum depression leave them? Or rape victims be abandoned by their wives, husbands, or family, because its too stressful? Struggle is what makes love stronger, you don't leave when shit gets hard, you stay and you give your all to the person you promised you'd be there for. You have an alarming lack of empathy to anyone who struggles with mental illness. With help we are just like everyone else, don't act like you've never had an issue you needed help with. I know more about strength and empathy than you ever will.
