If you have ever ridden a 1999 Busa, you know why they are King of the Hill!!! My friend Jeff and I traded bikes halfway through an afternoon ride. I got on an identical bike like this Bronze and Silver rocket and was amazed at how fast and how forgiving it was. It looks big but handles great and the power is ridiculous!!! God bless the person that is lucky enough to buy this bike 👍🏼

A co-worker commuted daily through the 6 month riding season we have here in northern Maine. It was a durable, dependable, fast commuter for him. Never had an issue with it. I find the Hayabusa looks far better in person than in pictures. For me, the performance is of higher value than perceived visuals. Some love it... some not so much. That's a real diamond!

That is one gorgeous bike. Love the Creamsicle Color of the Paintjob. I remember when these bikes first came out. My mind was blown immediately. I worked with a buddy at the airport that had an Orange and Black Hyabusa. It was one gorgeous bike. I think it was a 1999, assuming they put out orange with black graphics paint jobs in 1999. You can break the speed limit in 1st gear. Love the seating position on them. More like a touring bike seat position than a sportbike position. Your Buddy definitely babied that bike. She is sweet.

I remember very well when these beasts came out, i had a 1997 Suzuki TL1000S at the time it too was a beast for it's day and had 123bhp, pure torque wheelie monster. After 1997 they detuned the TL1000 fuel injection system mainly in 1st gear cause allot of guys found them to snappy and abrupt and it sent many to the deaths through corners and created tank slapper accidents they also recalled them and started adding steering dampners on them and then the 1997 model became known as the widow maker and labeled that in the 1998 superbike magazine. In future years the 1997 model TL became the most sought after as it was known as the full hp model. Anyhow when the Hayabusa came out i think everyone at the time was blown away from it's shear stance and the high speed and power it produced! History maker that bike for sure!

Absolutely love my 2006 Hayabusa, silver/black colors, slightly modded a bit with Scorpion cans, carbon bits and a tail tidy, everyone talks about speed with the Busa but it's such an easy big bike to ride, really quite a docile beast if you want it to be, got mine only a year after passing my test (here in the UK) and honestly think i could have had it as a first bike (started with a K4 GSXR600), because the bike it so tall geared it's so relaxed and unstressed at 70-80 mph, at 100mph it's just getting into it's stride, had mine at 150 and it was still pulling like a train (when i'll admit i ran out of bottle), the weight is a bit of a bind sometimes and i wouldn't say it's 100% comfortable (it's a big sports bike really, at 53 i get a bit of wrist and back ache on longer rides) but every ride feels like an event, you are sitting on a legend, sounds amazing, i don't know what i'd replace it with. Greetings from Scotland.

I still remember the day these came out, the first time I rode it I had to recalibrate my brain it was so much faster and so smooth and the ease with with which it would hit 100 mph was almost impossible. Awesome, this one belongs in the museum it is a piece of history.

I used to work for a motorcycle drag racing team it was 1981. I had learned a lot about power production arodynamics speed quick shifting and getting a good launch and how to build a powerful and durable engine yes naturally aespirated on high octane gasoline. And I later put a few hobby engines on the market still here today. Anyhow before the hyabusas release I'd Read about it's design and I did the engineering math to figure out this motorcycle and i didn't figure out the aerodynamics though but the engine design i figured out exactly why it was designed and made the way it was made and designed. My point is to say i was amazed by it's design this exact 1299cc design. It actually had a decent stroke length which is efficient in fuel economy torque production and great breathing valve train allowing fairly high revving however it was extremely efficient at power production within it's rev range and gearing final gearing too. The quickness up to that top speed i found amazing because of it's stroke. Unlike the zx14s more over square design. The durability and Stout toughness with that stroke length was amazing to me because it was efficient. Heat was a concern of mine but no problem with that. Amazing how that engine can take such a beating with boost even nitrous. Well designed and thought out maticulously beyond German engineering standards. The Japanese are known for their quality control. I haven't touched on the intake port angle. Which is ideal. It's extremely important especially in these sport bikes. Everything about it's design was perfect to me. Straight forward. A whole lot of thought consideration and expertise went into this. I remember i couldn't wait for it to be released to the buying public. It is compact for what it is. Suzuki was my favorite racing motorcycle in 1970s and 80s 90s 2000s because they emphasize torque production as does Yamaha and overall efficiency. I liked Suzukis focus value's. They are inexpensive too All things considered affordable performance durable. My boss raced Kawasaki and I was telling him why can't we race Suzuki's? They were already superior in my educated opinion. Twin swirl's tscc design's. Yamahas XS 500 twin was an early multi valve. I loved the 20 valve Yamahas however they're squish wasn't ideal but flow was great. Anyhow Suzuki got the balance just right. I feel They are underrated especially today. Oh and i do love the latest hyabusa, designed for competition. I hope EPA globalist get put in their place. Wef too. Green new deal is BS. Also American government has kinda stuck it to Japan I feel. The Japanese Miracle yup. Since ww2. PS Tokyo is pretty safe for how big it is how many people. Japan was concerned about the masses. I'll just say thank you for this video thanks for your channel your museum and your racing pedigree. Nice to see original equipment. Nice beautiful specimen. Worth every penny.
