Have you thought of marking where the the holes should go, removing them, drilling holes, bolting it down, then pulling the vehicle on again? 🤔
@cwisted5308 Жыл бұрын
That's the proper way to do it. They have tutorials on instagram explaining how to properly install. All you have to do is put the vehicle in the spot you want it and use a sharpie or some sort of marker then back it out and bolt them in. They aren't supposed to be installed with the UTV on the trailer which ending up bending them

This video made me curious about the product, so I went and looked at it on Amazon. The listing goes through a great deal of trouble to talk about "supporting a USA based family business". That being said, the first question someone asked about the listing was "are these made in China?" The answer was listed as "yes". So they are Chinese crap. I think your review was very fair, and showed the problems and low quality that these really are. Thanks for the honest review!!

yeah I know it, at first you see all of this proudly engineered in the USA but then in small print on the box was 'assembled in China' Thanks Chris
@toddbuh2 жыл бұрын
when I called them out, all they would say was that it was designed and engineered in USA. I initially asked about a rope shackle and got the "but it was designed & engineered in USA" answer, my 1st thought was you can't make a rope? they've been around for a thousand years, just how do you design and engineer a rope? cavemen made them and now you tell me your not smart enough to make a rope?. but their design is to copy other companies already making the same thing, and the engineering was painting it a different color and giving it a new name. I'm sure it was very hard picking lime green for the color even though it's the same green color as all their other chinese made (by 10 yr. old girls) products are. all you have to do is buy another brand already available, then measure it and send the specs to china to make one like it. which they probably didn't even have to do that, I'm sure china already had the specs from stealing them or making them for 1 of the other companies that used china to make theirs too. I wish I had done my homework and found out before buying them. I won't let that happen again. Buy American made products everyone!!

Do you have any problems with your deck boards moving and if not how are your secured. I got a set and now I'm worried about my deck coming up
@kapperoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Well the decking all depends on the manufacturer and how they secured it, but most are quite secure, being fastened to the steel frame. If you use all 4 wheel chocks like this I doubt you'll have any issues, regardless of the decking. They are made to hold down a UTV with just 2 chocks, so if you go with all 4 like I did you should be just fine. Thanks, and good luck.
@jdenotter262 жыл бұрын
So other than the bolts the only issue here is the installer
@kapperoutdoors2 жыл бұрын
Also the thin metal they used for these, and the quality control of the cuts as well
@danburch99892 жыл бұрын
Your video reinforced my decision to go another route. Instead of a $120 set for 4 wheels, I went to HD and bought 8 D-ring tiedowns and bolted them to my decking for a little over 1/2 price. I had to buy the bolts to anchor them down (just like you had to do anyway). I had some 1/8" scrap metal for my backing plates. Each D-ring is rated for 3,600 lbs - more than enough for my 1700lb SxS. Other than that, it's similar to the Rhino set up. Their instructions could be better. Locate and drill the 1st two mounting holes on each chock as you did. Then remove all of the chocks and back the SxS off the trailer. Then the remaing holes can be located, drilled and all bolts installed.

Seriously though, they are way to lightweight to give one any sense of solidity or ability to last for any length of time.
