Such a treasure! Does anyone know who the tenor is? Sorry that I can't write in Russian.
@aleksandardjordjevic27283 жыл бұрын
It is written at the beginning (but in the kirilish alphabet): Solist Nikolai Polozkov. Enjoy!

@@huldaliljeblad3611 Oh please, no need for this, big deal. Besides this, on KZbin exist a couple of videos of this beautiful song which refers that soloist is Nikolai Polozkov: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oICYh5ykj56SerM, kzbin.info/www/bejne/iprZmJKnpq-InLc, kzbin.info/www/bejne/noWXg3iDa818qbM. These last two are described that are sung in London, but I believe that this is the truth for this last one on the list. However, there is also an excellent rendition where the soloist is Vasily Shtefutsa, a living walking legend of the Red Army choir: kzbin.info/www/bejne/h3SxaZJudq2Vhpo, or "a capella" version: kzbin.info/www/bejne/hWqop6d-oM2Hpsk (the soloist is late Dmitry Hvorostovsky).

@@aleksandardjordjevic2728Thank you for the links to this beautiful song! Could you tell me what it is about? I have seen the version with Shtefutsa, and I love the many ways the same song can be sung. The second one, the one recorded in London, to me is more emotional. I'm so sorry to hear that Hvorostovsky has passed. It was news to me even though he passed some time ago. And he was still young... My favourite with him, this far, is Zhuravli.

@@huldaliljeblad3611 Well, I'll do my best even my knowledge of the English language is very poor, and I don't speak Russian at all. First of all, "Nochenka" is deminutiv from "Nochka", and "Nochka" is deminutiv from "Noch", what is "The night" (like Ekaterina->Katia->Katysha, or Elisabeth->Beth->Betty). In short: The soloist: "Oh, you nochenka, nochka tyomnaya"; (tyomnaya noch= dark night) The choir: "Nochka tyomnaya, noch osenaya"; (dark night, the autumn night, i.e. "osenaya noch"="the autumn night"); The soloist: "With whom I will spend the night, the dark night?"; The choir: "With whom I will spend the autumn night?"; The soloist: "There is no dad, there is no mom"; The choir: "Only my wife I have"; The soloist: "Even with her I do not live in harmony, I do not live in harmony, not with consent"; The choir: "I do not live in harmony (with her)"; The soloist: "Not with consent". I am not sure if "the consent" is the right word to translate the word "soglasye". "Soglasye" means that we both (You and me, or many people) thinking the same, (for example that swearing is bad behavior, it is not decent to speak so). Sorry for the rudimentary translation.
