Dove Cameron to me has really been the standout performer this season.
I wish I felt the same. She's so dull to me. Her acting is average. She can't dance (there's a reason her "dance" is mostly her posing near a chair). She can sing, but that's it. I always feel like people are trolling when they insist she's so amazing. I just don't get it I guess. Oh well. Clearly she appeals to some people so I guess they're happy. All I know is, I often replay the very beginning of this video over and over just to watch those brief seconds of Ariana DeBose. Now she's someone I consider a standout. Shame she was busy this season.
@andrewhavens5937 Жыл бұрын
@@AshleyG24601fan I think Arianna was the best part of season one. Brilliant performer. I understand that about Dove. I thought she had been great in other projects and really cared more for her singing voice this season. Some Stan’s are just so annoying, though, thinking any attack on their chosen person is a crime against humanity.

The fact that we’re not getting a third season of this show is devastating. Especially since the next era of musicals they’d be going into would be SO GOOD - and probably a little more universally popular, since it would reference shows that would likely be more familiar to the casual musical theater fan 😭😭😭

While mostly "Mein Herr", this is also a reference to Madeleine Kahn's number, "I'm Tired" in "Blazing Saddles." In the song, she complains about her sex with men. And it ends with the word...you guessed it.... "Kaput." See for yourself: kzbin.info/www/bejne/i5LMaIBqh9Wigrc. Of course, the "Blazing Saddles" number is a parody of Dietrich's "Laziest Girl in Town." kzbin.info/www/bejne/iaOTqYWEpJuLl9k And now to get really obscure, that number is inspired by a 1933 French Dietrich song, "Je m'ennuie." Translated: "I'm bored." kzbin.info/www/bejne/rYqof2dvYpKJZ5Y
