He does the minimal work of echoing her with different works, giving a short and consice response to her rant. Velvette is clearly doing this to rile people up, which is why she smiles and the song flows when Camila gets so pissed, but stops for her to groan after Zestial shows little to no reaction to her behavior.

I'ma drop a comment of concurrence as this song is kinda' climbing into the top spot for me too. Such pizzazz and it's really got classic musical theatre energy all over. Battling with "Respectless" rn for #1...as good as "Poison" is it's only tops if you're putting your own emotional intensity into it at the same time. I love Alastor and Rosies relationship.
