Loved watching Nate's parents holding hands, building the shelter, and seeing their sheer awe at things, like the whales breaching at sunset. I see where Nate gets his desire to experience the world, and also wanting to share it with Kara.

Nate’s parents seem completely unshaken by these circumstances. I think they’ve been through a lot and are just so comfortable with being in the moment and being with each other that all other instability just doesn’t make them waiver. They are so sweet!!

That's a raft for a FAD (fish attracting device) that would normally be found anchored offshore. Structure will naturally attract small fish for shelter and this begins the food chain associated with this raft. In the Solomons the big tuna boats deploy these and, after a while, large schools of tuna can be found feeding off of the fish underneath!

I found you guys not that long ago from FB reels. I decided to find you on youtube and started watching from the beginning a few months back. Your zest for life and adventure had me hooked! I have waited until I got the very last video before commenting to tell you that you have help change my life and my outlook. I have been well out of shape for years and live in chronic pain. Recently my husband and I both have started doing yoga and learning to eat smarter. We have teenagers that we are on the verge of getting them raised and becoming independent and we have big plans for our future and I realized after watching everything you have so exuberantly been able to experience that we too want to find our own adventures and live in the moment. Thank you Nate for planning some of the most epic adventures I didn't even know were available for us to all get to live vicariously through you. Thank you Kara for being that shining light and beacon of positivity, inspiration and pure joy. I can't wait to continue to see you thrive and open up the world to us all.

Kara and Nate, you all did amazingly. Given more time I’m sure you would have improved your shelter, sleeping arrangements, and broadened your hunting and foraging options. 96 hours is a feat but the longer you went the more you figured out. That first couple days would be the hardest as you establish basic essentials but after that you get to improve on your tools and knowledge of your surroundings to make it all even better. Well done

The question regarding appropriate behavior in different cultures, I have always found you guys to be so respectful of other cultures and traditions, even in the early days. I remember in one video you were watching monks walk in a line down the street and all the other tourists were in their faces taking pictures, you sat respectifully across the street and gave them their space. This one really was awesome! Nate’s parent’s are my favorite people you’ve ever had on with you in your adventures, they both have so many talents and information that add to “survival” and not to forget, “strength of Character”!! When I was a kid, we did these adventures where we disappeared for days in the Summer on horseback with nothing except a “Pan” that we didn’t carry with us. It was great fun and we ate lots of Corn on the Cob, that I realize now was what we called “feeder corn”, meaning that it’s meant for feed, or milling into Cornmeal and it’s got big kernels that are a bit tough! I don’t know how you guy’s continue to come up with such great idea’s, and I can’t wait for the next one! And to think, we started out watching sailing videos and now our favs are you guy’s and “Kinging It”, which I originally thought was a channel for “materialistic” type people! LOL!

PS, my dad did Outward Bound as a kid in the 70's, (they made those kids do some INSANEEEE stuff back in the day - but my dads stories were EVERYTHING in my childhood). He had to do a SOLOOOOO, 3 day survival trip totally alone on a little island off the coast of New York at the age of 12. They were just given their pack containing basic supplies like a knife, and some rope. INSANE. but so cool. way too young, but.... again, his stories...........
