Great Vlog👍, loved seeing you guys trying to readjust to van life! FYI, you can get large diameter PVC tubes/pipes used for water drainage, put the screw on caps made for it on the ends and attach it to the van roof, or standing upright on the rear doors, to store your skis and poles out of the way so you get to keep the shower! You're going to want to seal the opening of your grey water tank replacement so it doesn't slosh water out going around turns and bumps. Get a piece of rubber sheet (Lowes: "Keeny" 6 inch rubber washer $2.48) cut an opening slightly smaller than the tube so it stays tight around it and clamp it to the jug opening. No leaks or splashes! ....OVER! lol! 🤣

After 7 years of living in a house, being the Master Tenant, dealing with the highs and lows of tenants I had a f%*K it moment and decided I needed some me time. I have a small art studio I share and did not feel the need for living in a house with people so I went out and got a 1994 Ford Econoline Club Wagon Van last January and converted it into living quarters. For a year now I've been living in the van in my city and working my job. I'm much happier and my mental stresses or dealing with others has gone. In 10 days it will be my last day of work and 10 days after that I am leaving the state for a 10000 - 14000 mile road trip covering the United States, Canada and into Alaska. I'm excited for this adventure and honestly owe a lot of the jump to Van Lifer Videos like yourselves. Van life is not always pretty but it's become my way of life for the past year and while I cannot stand up in my van, it's cozy and keeps me happy.

We used that padded floor in our living room on the hard wood floors. We put it under our rug and it makes all the difference in the world. You could also put carpet on top of it in your van and when it gets dirty you just shake them out. We did that in our van as well. So much nicer than muddy floors and when it gets old, we just toss the carpet.

FOR THE UNDERSINK TANK: Just take a cheap led flashlight, connect two wires, one to the internal battery spring and tape another wire to the other terminal inside of the flashlight. the other end of one wire, tape to one end of a battery and a 3rd, separate wire to the opposite end of the battery (whatever battery you would typically use in the flashlight being used). you now have two ends of wire, a -/+. tape the ends to the full line inside of the water tank. When the water level rises enough to touch both wires, you flashlight will light up and you'll know to stop running the water before the tank overflows. just a quick and easy thought. about 7-10 minutes to do.

I love these van admin videos, it really speaks to your talent as creators that just watching you organise and solve these problems is still absolutely charming and entertaining. It reminds me of Casey Neistat's videos, he did a lot of crazy stuff, but watching him do "everything else" us ordinary humans also had to deal with was still great to watch. When I was a kid we would take the giant r.v. To ski for three days regularly and we all would ski all six of us and my mom and dad would cook hot food for us all day . This makes me remember all the fun we had! Thanks guys
