this ain’t really the martial arts to be taught like this , maybe for Womens self defense , ( because they truly need it and will most likely be found innocent in the court of law ) but also probably just Tier 1 Commandos , who lost their Rifle and Pistol

Filipino Martial Arts are war and street tested and have been built on for hundreds of years. It's legit the same thing you mentioned except Commandos aren't blade specialists. Peep out some FMA teachers and they'll dispel any doubts. This drill was literally a one strike, a parry, and an escape. Alot of FMA is kinda "drilly", this trims the fat. Can't get much more practical for an option than that. I'd love to hear your thoughts.
