I am still new to knit, and have always done long tail cast on. What is the difference with the cast on that you do in this vid and a long tail? Is it stretchy? or does it make the bottom edge look cleaner?

Yarn is kinda pricey 18£ jere in the uk! Do u know any places to find nice yarn for cheaper ?

I’m not sure about the uk but you can always hold thinner yarns together to give a bulkier weight!

Also drops design yarn by yarn studio is generally some of the most affordable but nice yarn I have come across. Just take into account weight to metreage ratio when substituting yarns :)
