i don’t think u guys understand the whole point of haikyuu. its not just all about karasuno, sure its the team’s perspective, but haikyuu is all about loving both parties in the court. i don’t get why y’all dislike the flashbacks for the opposing team so much, karasuno ain’t the only ones improving as time goes by. everyone has the same goals as them after all. i would pretty much appreciate if u guys would be more open with the other teams! im not saying that cheering for karasuno is bad, its natural ofcourse since they’re the ‘main’ team, but i’d like it if y’all could pay more attention to the others and appreciate their hardworks as well. you guys need to understand that karasuno ain’t the only team here. :)
@hourbit73854 жыл бұрын
You spoke the words that i want to convey perfectly. This is what most sports show lacks and im really glad Haikyuu gives enough credits to other teams, it may not be all but atleast most/some of the teams are given the flashbacks that would tell us that they also strive to win. That Oikawa flashback with his former coach made me realize some points of my life. Its not just about talent, but also perspective and mindsets to become someone you want to be.
@damester134 жыл бұрын
Am pretty sure they don't exactly dislike it. It's just feels weird when you end up cheering for both teams in a match. Since we're introduced to karasuno first, they become the team that we support by default but through the amazing backstories of the opposing teams, it feels like we're being split into two in terms of which team to support. I'm pretty sure that's how they feel too. basically, it's not necessarily a bad thing.
@robertcampbell80704 жыл бұрын
I've said it before, the problem is they watched Kuroko No Basket first, so they see every team as an "enemy." Kuroko is entertaining, but I don't think it's actually a particularly good sports anime.
@hourbit73854 жыл бұрын
@@robertcampbell8070 well you can actually distinguish an enemy and just a challenger Regardless of what they watched first. Me as a viewer, some of the characters in kuroko are not really evil but just also players who wanted to win, but Haikyuu is just so good on crediting this opposing teams. But also some of them are just plain evil or just devoured by their egos to play basketball while in Haikyuu there is no single player that acts like that. At the end of the day, this is Haikyuu and not Karasuno no volleyball😂
@robertcampbell80704 жыл бұрын
@@hourbit7385 I think Kuroko portrays other teams or players as "enemies." Not evil, but you aren't supposed to like them or empathize with their hard work/goals etc. Good sports anime like Haikyuu and Hajime no Ippo might not make you like the opponent, but they do make you empathize with them, and realize they have put just as much hard work in as the protagonists, that they want to win just as bad as the protagonists, and they aren't enemies, they are just people who are extremely passionate about the thing they've chosen to do.

(This was basically his main goal, and from junior high to high school, he never did it) °Oikawa was scared that all his hard work would be overcome by Kageyama; a genius prodigy. He overworked himself to make sure Kageyama couldn't surpass him. But in the end, Kageyama won, he defeated Oikawa, he surpassed him. ° Oikawa never got to go to nationals with Iwa-chan, Makki, or Matsun. None of the third years at Seijo did. °Also when he was doing the final toss to Iwaizumi, he fell on his bad knee Poor baby. Why does someone always have to lose? Can't they all win?

No he isn't better. If you think like that then you haven't understand the purpose of his character. What he accepts, with this match, it is that there are two types of people : those who are gifted with talent like Ushijima and Kageyama, and those who aren't. No matter hard you train, you'll never be able to reach that talent. Oikawa knows that more than anyone. He was jealous of Kageyama's talent since middle school, that's why he refused to teach him. The only thing that makes him a good setter is not his precision or his tosses itself, it's his leadership and the understanding of his teammates. The top setters in Haikyu are Kageyama and Atsumu, in precision and technique issues, that's why they are the last two setters highlighted in the manga. That does not make Oikawa a bad setter, far from it, but (it is clearly said), he is a prisoner of the "Curse of the ordinary". Once Kageyama has the trust of his teammates, he is unstoppable. That's what he lacked of in middle school, and that is why he is an even bigger threat in Oikawa's point of view. Btw, the "gull", Hoshiumi is a wing spiker, so don't compare him to a setter or a libero, this is absurd.

I don’t think you noticed but Seijou‘s pinch server was Yahaba. The one who slammed Kyuoken-Chan (mad dog) against a wall. That was also kind of an important moment because next year they will be the regular setter and ace. Also most teams have at least one pinch server, you could consider Sugawara one too. He and Kageyama only actually swap two times in like, the whole anime up to this day.

Y'know...when i was watching the start of the match , i remember i was downloading 3rd season as well, to get it downloaded in advance, and I already knew karasuno was going to win, just by the title of the 3rd season, I mean bruh : "Haikyuu 3rd season: Karasuno vs Shiratorizawa"...lol that's a total give away... anyway, it was still expected since we already saw them lose to Aoba johsai so...after improving and being introduced to Ushiwaka it was very clear they were gonna face them later and they couldn't lose a 2nd time, ...but putting that aside I think after spoiling myself a little with the title of 3rd season, I certainly got to enjoy the match calmly and better, bc of course I knew they were gonna win, but ...I didn't knew HOW, so it was still interesting specially bc I got to pay attention to the plays from both teams rather than being nervous about the results... anyway some random story of mine lol

ThorkageMOB 12% you’re making a big deal out of this, think about it. Think about how sad you felt watching Karasuno losing in the first season, I was devestated because I connected deeply with the characters so I felt bad for them, and them crying at the dinner table hit home hard. Then the long awaited victory in season 2 came, which proved that Karasuno can evolve as a team and shouldn’t be ignored just because they’re the underdogs. Think about it from that kind of perspective, and it was in the heat of the moment for the people in this video so you gotta cut them some slack.

Not to be harsh or offended to you guys. It hurts me so much when people are not appreciated Oikawa enough. Of course I cheer for Karasuno but at the same time I also cheer for Aoba Johsai because Oikawa is probably the character that audience can relate to the most. He’s just an ordinary guy who is not a genius or having a natural talent. Oikawa character is about effort and working hard all the time. That is the only way he can get to this point. The point that he can compete with those genius players. And many times, he had felt that no matter how hard he tried, the genius players would surpass him but he never stops. Oikawa is such a beautiful character. For me, Hinata has natural talent but he’s lack of opportunity to polish it. So, even though every characters are all working hard. I personally believe Oikawa is the one that created to showcase what the real effort and love for volleyball is like.

I like you guys as reactors but it do pisses me off that you only cheer for Karasuno here. Haikyuu is not only about Karasuno. There are no 'evil' or 'enemy' teams here. This is what is good about Haikyuu, they make you sympathize with all the other teams and care for them. If only you pay attention on those flashbacks you'll know that Oikawa is a well-made character. He isn't some genius like, Kageyama. He started from none but he polished himself to be considered one of the best. I've watched Haikyuu for a LOT of times and I care for EVERY team that Karasuno has been against with. I don't see them as enemies. They deserve to win the tournament as much as Karasuno does. I do hope you don't just let your love for Karasuno makes you continue on being blind of the effort the other teams have done too. They deserve the love and respect that you're giving Karasuno as well. So I BEG of you, start actually paying attention to "EVERY" details that you watch. Every player in this anime is having a character development and that's what's good about Haikyuu. So it pisses me off when you guys don't even acknowledge Oikawa's backstory. If you only know what happened in the manga then believe me you'll get pissed off.

We know Karasuno is like the main team for this anime, but as a hard Oikawa and Aoba Johsai fan that I am, because let's be real, Oikawa-san is a beast and he is just so good, he's the best there is, I must say it kind of hurt seeing the moment I most cheered up for him just being hated and unrepresented as for this day even after season 4 I still think there's no one like Oikawa and my boi deserved so so much. Still all good, just saying this reaction in particular is definitely not how I felt, because even after Karasuno won (which yeah, we were all happy about) I couldn't help but grieve my boi Oikawa loss in this very episode, this was indeed a bitter-tasting victory for me.

People who watch Haikyuu need to stop hyping up Karasuno so much. That's not the point of this anime. It never was and never is. I understand you guys are used to watching shounen fights and always root for the MC, but man what a waste. Aoba Johsai and Oikawa's story will always be the most tragic story in this series. I personally don't give a rat's ass about who wins because Haikyuu teaches us more than that. It's about growth.
