Edit: (So apparently I was wrong and was an ankle injury, when he arrived late to the practice game with Karasuno, guess I have been on AO3 reading fanfics for waaaay to long. Then again Haikyuu fandom wiki doesn't go into any injury as well even though they mention all over practicing he does. And that Seijoh takes Mondays off from practicing. It's like the debate with Reborn's from KHR real name being Renato Sinclair and accepted as Renato but is just the fandom name for him that blew up huge. So i guess the knee injury is fanon that canon never proofed as right or wrong besides that one ankle injury sentence.

That last point truly was hinata's time to shine huh. Kageyama decided to do the same quick that made them lose on their first official match against seijou, they read the quick, oikawa was waiting, BUT THEY STILL WON. Because of all the work hinata put in to be able to fight on his own. I love this match so much.

What's so amazing about this episode is the incredible pay-off for all the character development and hard work our Karasuno has gone through over the course of this entire season. With everything they did, they definitely earned this victory big time. Still one of my favorite episodes in the show. In fact, this one has only very recently been dethroned as my favorite episode of the show by another one I absolutely cannot wait to see your reaction to. This is how you do storytelling, this is how you do character development, this is how you deserve a name like "Hypekyuu"

But kageyama surpassed him as a setter and he Is destined to surpass him even in this fields. when Hinata's spike hit the blocker's fingers that was 100% luck and if not for that Oikawa would have received so they just got lucky. Hinata defiantly aimed for the opening but didn't hit the blockers hands-on purpose is what I'm saying

I love that this show is able to make people react like they're watching a live sporting event and not just any game either but a championship game and their favorite team is playing. *The crazy thing about that last hit by Hinata was that if he didn't hit the ball off of Kindaichi's finger, Oikawa would have saved it and so far of all the reactions I've watched you guys were the first to notice.
