i really like the concept of the point system here - you really have to be precise and on point - shows great technique and awareness.

I've always felt a person that throws a high kick/connects/then falls should not get a ippon. 2:00 The loss of balance after the technique should prevent a score. But I don't make the rules so whatever.

@@dakentaijutsu2010 I am not sure what you think "real combat" looks like, because in real combat people are killed. You don't break after a few minutes, you don't tape hands or wear gloves, you have multiple attackers, head buttstock, strikes to the groin, stomps to the head, you can't tap out and so on.
@marcusbaptiste7544

@@dakentaijutsu2010 the irony is that many of those participating in wkf are shotokan practitioners. point fighting was never intended to mimic real fights. You can always watch UFC if you want that

@@ramsesdererste4806 MMA isnt "real " combat either, no weapons, multiple attackers, strikes to the throat and groin, stomps on the face, if you want "real combat" you should have gladiator matches.

@@EragonAnimator it is as hard as it could go without serious injuries ..... kyokushin karate also is more fighting cause you can ko your opponent .... this here is just jumping
@EragonAnimator

@@ramsesdererste4806 “It is as hard as it could go without serious injuries “ Right, so they limit realism to avoid serious injury, which is what Karate does as well. The difference is that UFC doesn’t thinks a traumatic brain injury isn’t a serious injury. Whereas WKF does. I think I know which of those opponents is more in tune with reality. “..... kyokushin karate also is more fighting cause you can ko your opponent .... this here is just jumping” Bouncing actually comes from western boxing and occurs in Kyokushin as well. But in fact to avoid injury Kyokushin doesn’t allow punches to the head, grabs, sweeps, throws, strikes to a grounded opponent, as such unrealistically close and exchange blows to the body. WKF is much more realistic in this sense because it bases itself on the idea that one punch to the head can end a fight. So while Kyokushin is more realistic in its contact, it is significantly less realistic in its ruleset. WKF, by contrast, is based on the idea that you should assume that one well-placed strike can take you out and so you avoid getting hit at all.

@@EragonAnimator Matthew Flannagan brain injuries ? Boxing is way more dangerous ..... 100 Hits per fight without getting knocked out .... and there is no "ending the fight with a punch to the head in Theorie" ..... you fight (with whatever rules ) or not but pretending to fight, pretending to hit and pretending to end a fight with a hit is no fighting, it is pretending They can do it all day if they like but don't call it fighting ..... fighting is with force cause swimming without water is no swimming .... doesn't Matter if you make the same motion Again, if one likes this it is ok but a fight never exists if the fighters pretend to hit .... ura mawashi to the head will work in 20 percent cause it is not powerful but here they get Sanbon And worst of all : this way of simulating a fight ruins karate cause you don't train good or all punches or kicks but instead you train the ones that gives you Points
