It's better if they had no other training other than what their Karate offers them. I get what you mean but keeping it pure Karate makes it more interesting and better for the further evolution of karate as a whole.. Mix other arts in there and all you'll get is the hoi poloi MMA competition

@@THEBEATLESBF3 Compared to boxing and some martial arts, the punches are a bit inferior (guys, western boxing is a really really good art for punching.. probably the best).. Anyway for you and op, the reason the punches are quite bad in Karate Combat as of now, is that these are mostly sport karatekas who are used to sport karate rules where you can't punch in the face (depends om style, but mostly yes). Now that the rules have changed in this organisation, they realised the linear movement punches they are used to puts them at a high risk of walking into a straight punch.. So they are slowly adapting to getting used to slipping to the sides, but have properly gotten used to the slipping technique so their punches ended up looking like haymakers.

Great fight. But sometimes it seems like some fighters don't understand the referee. Jessica Linhares lost because she didn't listen to the referee, and Jesus Lopes did the same. He got kicked because he didn't pay attention. Mas o Bruno lutou muito.
