Absolutely! I watched this as a young kid and knew if there really was a good one of the group it was Bobby. Younger people watch Cobra kai show first and think Johnny was a better person at the time and he wasn't. Of course Johnny showed a little sportsmanship at the end congratulating and handing the trophy to Daniel but Johnny was a horrible bully no matter how you slice it. Johnny led the charge on basically everything bad that happened between Daniel and the cobras. But that being said the show that's on currently is a neat bit of revisionist history. Especially now that Johnny and Daniel have both gotten past their rivalry and grown as people.

@@SuperWIDEgaming no it doesn't. Every possible move-counter move has been scripted. It is not a matter of being creative, it is a matter of recognizing the moves your opponent makes and their conventions and apply the correct counter-moves unless/until you can go on the offensive and dictate the tempo to see if your opponent can recognize your moves and counter-move correctly. It is also a matter of speed of recollection since in competitive chess there is a clock. So, you not only have to recognize the moves, but do so quickly.

If Mr. Miyagi had been around, he would have thumped Daniel in the head by the second episode for his obsession with the 'EVIL COBRA KAI', and by the fourth would have had both Daniel and Johnny at a table to work it out like the men they now are, and that would have been the end of the series.

Johnny and Bobby both wanted to beat Daniel fair and square. Both were beginning to doubt Kreese when they were asked to cheat.
@bahhumbug98243 жыл бұрын
That's the problem with the "no mercy" win at ANY cost mentality vs fighting honorably in a tournament. Even IF Johnny had won, he'd know forever he never beat Daniel at his best and maybe couldn't.

I have to admit my favorite actor in this film is Martin Kove. His intensity, killer instinct and no mercy attitude is a character trait we should all aspire to.

to be fair Kreese told him to break Daniel’s leg he hesitated to do that I mean look at the reaction on his face Johnny and Tommy were like what the hell is he clapping for.

He didn’t break his leg. He “put him out of commission” and failed. He felt bad about it and became a priest; I mean a pastor.

John Kreese used every dirty trick in the book to try and win the all valley tournament, to me he was the bad sensei.
@RDStudios2 жыл бұрын
He didn't break his leg, he popped his knee. Maybe that is what Miyagi "fixes" so he can continue.

They should have added the scene where Bobby throws his belt at Kreese, that was such a great scene.

As much as a I like the Cobra Kai shows, the atmosphere of this tournament is so much more intense. In CK, nobody was really shouting from the sidelines, routing for their comrades/students. I can't believe Silver or Kreese were pretty silent during the finals apart from the odd fist pump. In the final fight, Tommy is shouting for Johnny the whole time.
