Just the fact that he jumped on him and said "I'm sorry Daniel I didn't mean it" showed that they weren't assholes just overshadowed with the power of Cobra Kai

"Bobby" wasn't an asshole. He was the one who had reservations about everything they did, at the beach, the halloween assault, and the tournament. Dutch and Tommy were psychos and Johnny only showed a human side at the very end when he said to Daniel, "you're alright Lauruso. Good match."
@schwartzie1985

He also told Johnny in season two that it was because of the tournament that he founded faith and went his path. He urged Johnny to find forgiveness in his heart.

What's really great about this show is that you get Intel or moments with side characters and not just main ones cause honestly the main characters is Johnny Daniel Miguel Samantha Kreese.. but we see Hawk Tory Robby Assface Christopher Bert Johnny's friends ect ect. @MrBiscuit75
@MrBiscuit75 2 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! I watched this as a young kid and knew if there really was a good one of the group it was Bobby. Younger people watch Cobra kai show first and think Johnny was a better person at the time and he wasn't. Of course Johnny showed a little sportsmanship at the end congratulating and handing the trophy to Daniel but Johnny was a horrible bully no matter how you slice it. Johnny led the charge on basically everything bad that happened between Daniel and the cobras. But that being said the show that's on currently is a neat bit of revisionist history. Especially now that Johnny and Daniel have both gotten past their rivalry and grown as people.

@@SuperWIDEgaming no it doesn't. Every possible move-counter move has been scripted. It is not a matter of being creative, it is a matter of recognizing the moves your opponent makes and their conventions and apply the correct counter-moves unless/until you can go on the offensive and dictate the tempo to see if your opponent can recognize your moves and counter-move correctly. It is also a matter of speed of recollection since in competitive chess there is a clock. So, you not only have to recognize the moves, but do so quickly.

If Mr. Miyagi had been around, he would have thumped Daniel in the head by the second episode for his obsession with the 'EVIL COBRA KAI', and by the fourth would have had both Daniel and Johnny at a table to work it out like the men they now are, and that would have been the end of the series.

That’s pretty much most great movies but the supporting actors are huge contributions as well. Johnny was the perfect all-American looking kid. Reese couldn’t have been cast any better. Even minor characters like Dutch , Bobby, and tommy added a lot of flavour. The one overlooked cast was the guy Johnny beat in the semi finals. He was training instructor for the crew and was responsible for much of the choreography.

@@JiisTube I would say "the ease with which Daniel leads Johnny 2-zip" had more to do with Johnny's state of mind than Daniel's. Remember, everyone at the tournament thought that Johnny had already won the tournament, and they were about to hand him the trophy when Daniel came back out to fight. To suddenly have to go back and fight without warning for a trophy he was100% sure he had already won must have been a soul-crushing experience. Kreese's "sweep the leg" orders were what snapped Johnny out of his stupor and got him back into the fight.

Actually, yes face contact is allowed. If you recall Daniel was kicked in the face atleast twice, once by Dutch and once by Johnny when he gained his first point. The reason Johnny's face punch didn't count as a point was because there was a clash, we just didn't see Daniel hit Johnny at the same time Johnny hit him. The ref even called out "No point, clash" and crossed his arms as the visual at 7:20

How badly you think Johnny wanted to say "Will you shut the fuck up, I'm trying to focus here and no one wants to hear you screaming like a banshee across the Mat"! As much as a I like the Cobra Kai shows, the atmosphere of this tournament is so much more intense. In CK, nobody was really shouting from the sidelines, routing for their comrades/students. I can't believe Silver or Kreese were pretty silent during the finals apart from the odd fist pump. In the final fight, Tommy is shouting for Johnny the whole time.
