I would have loved to watch a Danaher black belt against Shintaro, not that seeing how tired two guys can make one guy wasn’t funny. Those were both top level guys, so it would be different, but judo vs. bjj happens a fair amount and follows pretty familiar pathways. Generally a moment of glory for judo with an uchi mata or something, a failed submission attempt, then steady positional recovery by the jiu jitsiero

The “starting to feel confident” part when you first sparred with the Judo master struck a chord with me. I’ve been training Muay Thai for a little while but am fairly new to sparring, and especially new to clinching. One of the best pieces of advice one of my Krus gave to me recently was “make your opponent feel confident enough to come in to you and that’s when you’ll be able to knee/throw/sweep them”.

Excellent Video and wish more people from other martial arts would do the same. You showcased the differences in a fun environment that was filled with respect and truth. What we normally see are other martial arts showing what they would do against a BJJ or Judo fighter, but never actually doing it, which most of us call Bullshido. Then the practitioners of that martial art cry foul at the "hate" and it quickly devolves from there, never learning the actual lesson that if you think your striking martial art is all that, you may find out the hard way against a grappler that it isn't. You did the opposite and it was very much appreciated.

Wow just fantastic, all three players are great and modest. The analytical break downs are marvellous. I have a background of Karate, Judo, Wing Chun and Boxing....and I am not very good at any of them. I really love to see this cross training, such an eye opener, cheers from Australia

Sensei Seth, brother, this is an absolutely phenomenal idea you had inviting Senseis Brian Glick and Shintaro Higashi over to give this matchup between Karate, Brazilian Jujitsu, Judo, and Kickboxing. In fact, I would go out of my way and say that this is one of your best videos ever. Keep on producing awesome content, brother.
