Gi Qui Dao is like Asian version of Systema. It's not practical or realistic. Silat too me is, I studied Silat, and the techinques are very practical in nature. And effective in a self-defense situation.

Mes chopsticks sont dans une boite durant transport si jamais je les prends avec moi. Question d'hygiene. Pour ma part, je prefere utiliser la cravate, l'echarpe, bic, stylo, trousseau de clefs, parapluie ou ceinture.

Silat is not meant to be in MMA because it is The Art to Kill or cause permanent damage. Our ppl in South East Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei etc) employ silat ONLY during war & as a self defence in a life & death situation. A true silat disciples never show off and always try his/her best to avoid unnecessary fighting.

This is disappointing! I thought they are going to fight for real. Gu ji can be seen as a fake. The silat seems authentic but nothing to shout about and will be destroyed by a professional MMA fighter.
