Class B misdemeanor and charged from $150 to $1000 fine (depending on the state). If a hunter or fisherman is not just impeded but threatened or injured. It can be a felony charge and up to 30 days in jail. My neighbor is a game warden, and he takes harassment cases seriously.

The lady does more harm to the ducks by feeding them. That is why the ducks try to come up to you. Plus, it teaches the ducks to depend on people feeding them instead of hunting for food. Also the ducks will now come up to people that might do them harm.

Next time this happens request the police to educate the caller on fisherman harassment laws and false reports. This almost always stops future issues. I always ask the police to do this when someone calls.

Also not 100% sure but that fish that yall were debating whether it was a bluegill or a redear, i think was perhaps maybe a warmouth or a female bluegill. Female bluegill are way more muted in color compared to males. It wasnt a red ear-- didnt have that spot on the gill flap. Was its mouth bigger than s bluegill? If that was the case that may have been a Warmouth.

Some of them did have a bright orange/red spot on their gill flap but there mouth was only a tad bit bigger. Nothing in comparison to like that of a green sunfishes mouth. There's 100% bluegills in the pond but the other species is confusing to identify because some have the spot and some don't. It could be both bluegill, red ear sunfish, and then a hybrid between those two since it's such a small ecosystem.

If this was in Sweden that lady will get a fine for calling the police. I was out fishing for pike for some years ago. A lady came by and said we was not allowed to fish in a small lake. I told her that i was allowed to fish here. I have been fishing in the same lake for many years. So i told her that i was allowed to fish. She calls the police and told them that we dont have a fishing card for this lake. I dont need a fishingcard in this lake. The police told her that this is not anything that the police will handle. After 2 minutes she se that both me and my frind having knifes on our belt. So she call the emergency number 112 (911 in the USA). 5 minutes later tha police arrive with 4 officers. They are starting to talk to us and said to the lady that we are allowed to having knifes on us. But the lady got a fine. I think it was around 500usd for using the emergency number for a none emergency situation.

Im a Kiwi h this was in 1996 Trout fishing the Kaituna River. I landed a nice 2.25kg fish, Maori guy standing looking diwn said " you caught ne a Trout Bro " . He then stated he claims the fish under native peoples rights over the fish, his face dropped when i laighed at him & pointed out that Trout were introduced in about 1880 from Australia so try someother fool. Thats how NZ is quite a lot & why i live in Australia & cant be bothered even holidaying there.
