I been skating alone sense 2012 and I LOVE it! skating with friends was always fun around my old neighborhood but I still always chose to skate alone. 🤷🏽‍♂️

When I was growing up there was 1 other skater in a 20 mile radius , so I feel skating for me has always been a loner activity. Even now I'm 42 my only skate homie is 6 😭.

There used to be a kid that was like 6 or 7 that was always at the park before I took a long hiatus from skating... Kid was pretty cool, had great park etiquette for as young as he was, and would make me look like an absolute beginner when I would skate bowls with him... He was actually sponsored by one of our local shops... No idea what ever happened to him after I quit skating, but he would be 17 or 18 now probably, and I hope he is still skating... If he is I'm sure he is killing it...

Honestly love watching stuff like this because it’s so close to what me and my friends do. I skate alone a majority of the time but when I do get the chance to have a session with friends it looks a lot like this. I still love major video parts and watching pros skate but content like this is far more relatable and makes me want to go skate more so than seeing some skate god jump on shit I’d be weary of walking down.

Burnett Plaza was one of my favorite spots. I skated it over 30 years ago. Their security was much more strict back then. You could usually squeeze out a 15 minute session before you had to bail and go hit the planters or one of the parking garages.

I just started my skateboarding journey! But just to comment on your comment from people saying you should skate with others rather than alone. I feel like I will enjoy either. Being alone or with friends skating both have their upsides definitely. That’s a big reason why I wanted to start skateboarding, something I can do and enjoy alone.

I skate alone and with friends and its still always a good time. At the end of the day I skate for me and skate how and with who I want. Whether you skate alone, with others or a mixture of both shouldn't matter to anyone else. Just have fun, live a healthy lifestyle and progress daily in just life in general.

Watching you skate alone helped me think it’s very normal to skate alone I’ve been doing it for 6 years now and sure I’ve made friends but normally every night I go skate and I go alone and just enjoy the adventure

I started going to chisholm regularly in January and I have realized there r 2 types of skaters who come to the skate park. A person like myself is just there to skate keep to themselves and get their tricks. The second is the social guy there to meet up with their pals. They can spend hours w out even skating but just chilling w their homies. Both these types are fine. I'm just so used to going on solo missions my whole life that i did find social skaters weird initially. But now that I have made some friends I can see the appeal to being social. Again both types are fine bc we are all built different

About skateboarding alone. I'm terribly shy so I skate when I can, normally very early in a beginners spot. I feel more comfortable when no one is around. If I were not concerned with the noise I would do it late at night. And it can't be that bad if Rodney Mullen does it.
