Hey John! I actually am in the opposite boat as you because i have been snowboarding for a long time and just recently started skateboarding. I remember when i first started snowboarding i would do the same thing, going reg to switch to turn, great way to learn and especially a good way once you start getting some toe side turns to do the same thing on the tow edge. Keep up the awesome vids!

I did that slide reg/switch on trails where I was afraid. One I remember well was Whiteface (Lake Placid) on whatever trail it was where the 1980 Olympic slalom course was. So steep!

Going between regular and switch, but staying on the same edge, is called "the falling leaf". A good way to learn.

@@mfmonthefmf hell yeah dude, people shouldn't focus on what's "core" or not core. It's all about the skating and the enjoyment of what each individual gets out of it. Hate is shortsighted and if someone hates on another for having fun doing the same darn thing then we need a culture shift, we are all one, we are all skaters. Even us old folks, we may suck now but what do our skills have to do with anything, we all have love for a useless wooden toy?

@@superflyguyty5734 fully agree. I'm sure there are exceptions but it seems the current skate culture is solid like that (inclusion I mean). I was worried I was going to get laughed out of the park, but its been the opposite! there is a ton of respect at the park. young/old skilled/noob... doesn't matter as long as you're respecting lines and not being an asshole. Its awesome to be out there again.

I stayed in fairplay about 45mins to an hour away from breckenridge and it's one of my fondest memories, seeing as how it's the furthest west I've been really. Can't wait to go back sometime. Unfortunately I forgot to bring my skateboard on that trip, but still had fun hiking and camping

man, i live here and love it. The parks near me arnt the greatest nor the spots but after driving like 20 minutes i can be in an area with beutiful parks and amazing spots. The only thing i hate is the winters here.

Skate in the summer and fall, snowboard in the winter. There’s also the inboard skatepark, and sometimes the park is not screwed up for all the snow in early or late winter. Also love you channel keep up the good work.

Breckenridge has had a killer skate scene for over thirty years. What you are skating is what I would call the 4th version of that park on the same ground. If you know where to go you can catch a dry park within 2 hrs, even in the dead of winter.

I get out right after every snowstorm and shovel my favorite line at the park. As long as you shovel right away it will dry up quick and you can skate! Gotta work for it! Come skate Boulder while you are here we have an awesome DIY park called Greenblock.

The correct set up will help you a lot , stance angles, board size, get a rocker snowboard next time it’s a lot easier to ride for beginners. I run a snowboard shop

Just over the mountain is Keystone Resort. Much smaller and they have night lights so you can ski late into the night which is never busy.

I've been watching regularly for years since before the move to cali, and I think just staying true to what you love doing is the best option, even if that may mean some monetary sacrifice is involved and maybe the numbers aren't always what you want them to be, and algorithmic boosts happen in waves. That doesn't matter because those things are exactly that... Numbers... What matters are the things that are present and tangible. Hanging out with people you love, exploring the streets to fulfill our caveman, hunter-gatherer needs, and accomplishing short term goals whether it be difficult tricks or learning new skills, just keep living in the present. The events of the past are not here right now, and the future is uncertain, the only thing you can guarantee is now. Keep on vloggin and having a good time skating. I'm gonna go skate now, even though the wind sucks I'm gonna draw your influence and find the fun instead of expecting it to fall on me.
