Feeling bad and expressing sorrow is one thing. Accepting responsibility and acknowledging that they could have and should have done things very, very differently is another thing. The Crumbleys did not accept responsibility. When Jennifer Crumbley spoke about forgiving the prosecution, she really showed how out of touch with reality she is. I mean, I have not observed the whole trial, but the overall sense that I got is that Karen McDonald did a great job. And here is Jennifer Crumbley saying in the presence of the families that she forgives the prosecution. She should have been begging the forgiveness of the families - acknowledging, "I failed as a mother. I missed the warning signs. I should have paid closer attention. I could have and should have done a lot of things very, very differently." Instead, she painted herself as a victim and insisted, "We were good parents."

They did both say they would have done things differently. You just have the wrong record playing over and over in your head. Nothing they say will be adequate. You could be in their shoes very easily if you are a gun owner with teenagers at home. That´s 90 percent of America.

For people who think the Crumbley's sentence is too harsh they 1. Bought Ethan a dangerous handgun and I believe handguns were illegal for teens in MIchigan. 2. Ethan's father bought the gun illegally telling the gun shop owner that it would be his gun (not Ethan's). 3. They did not supervise him or lock it up away from him. 4. Despite the fact that they saw the drawing showing Ethan being disturbed they did nothing to go check on the gun at their house. If they truly didn't know about his issues then this should have been such a shock to them that they would've gone home immediately to verify the gun's location and lock it up. 5. In court they did not even own up to the above (even if they didn't know Ethan was disturbed they knew they did that wrong). The sentence was totally appropriate.

There is no age limit whatsoever under the constitution for any American citizen to exercise their constitutionally protected rights. The ones who are guilty are the principle, teachers, supposed victims who were most likely bullying him and their parents. His parents committed no legal crimes whatsoever.

The fact of the text of the dad telling him to suck it up is proof evidence these teachers and so called victims were bullying him and caused him to snap they should be held accountable, but you dumb fks never want to blame the real criminals the schools and bullies in the schools, you just blame the tools and parents, society never wants to take responsibility for what they cause. This crap is why all state sanctioned brainwashing indoctrination centers (schools) should be defunded and disbanded, schools are unconstitutional and should be illegal.

Meanwhile ensuring that the NRA´s gun sales keep booming. There are still several guns in each American household and the cycle of gun violence continues. This has nothing to do with parenting or mental health help. How dumb are you to think Karen and Mark are really on the side of the victim¨s ? Tate Myre´s dad is right. He needs to lawyer up and go after the school and then go after McDonald for giving the school immunity. For not allowing the shooter to testify. This is a sick corrupt system.

one thing they didn't also address was giving their son access to alcohol. The pictures showed an empty whiskey bottle in his bedroom and the parents texted one morning about Ethan not feeling well--he had a headache--and one reason was "he had a lot to drink last night." They were concerned he wouldn't be able to go to work that morning. I believe they decided to give him tylenol. WTH???? Alcohol and Zanax were apparently their idea of good parenting.

This is a political move on behalf of Karen Mc Donald, she is an elected official seeking reelection or a higher position of power. If she doesn´t go after the school, that just shows she is in on it. We´ll just see how the next shooting goes and the trials that one ensues. Just more taxes to feed more criminals. More taxes going to feed criminals and less money for education and infrastructure. Yep our system sure is laughable.

There goes the woman prosecutor again hearing on about how parents don’t need them to tell them how to manage their children. A 15-year-old kid is going to do exactly what they wanna do no matter what the cases. I’ve been through 215-year-olds and it’s a very difficult age And we God owners and yes, we keep our guns locked up but at the end of the day from everything I’ve heard those parents hit the gun and the kid was been addictive and found the gun. The kid also knew when Mr. crumbly Purchased the gun. He had an intent to shoot up the school. Lastly, the judge had no choice but to give the percentage she did to keep her job intact. There were several complaints, filed against the judge throughout the trial that she was not being sympathetic enough towards the victims. So that’s a whole separate issue.

It's not just expressing remorse. It's what kind of freaks let this happen on their watch and aren't just consumed with guilt and remorse. It would be pouring out of every pore of my body. I would stand up and say I was responsible for all of it...every decision I ever made was clearly wrong and that I deserved whatever sentence was doled out plus some. But they stood up like they were the victims and not at all consumed with guilt. It tells me that the same type of people who would neglect their son in this way would be the same people incapable of feeling guilt and remorse.

😂😂 if you knew what matters in appellate court you'd know it's not . They can appeal until they're 100 yrs old but it will NOT get turned over . Too many facts and legislation facts, laws etc 💯. Every defendant has a right to appeal no matter what . Even Ted Bundy appealed. This is done so every defendant feels like they're treated the same etc and to be fair. However , that's where it states. But atleast when they're in locked down for 23 hours a day they have something to work on like their appeal . 😅

Given Ethans mental health and all that was exposed proves Karen, Rowe, etc are disgusting. Ethan is still a child. He was 15. Giving him life without parole is barbaric and cruel and unusual punishment. LWOP is the death penalty. Who do they think they are thinking they know Ethan is irredeemable? Such BS. Theres no justice sending a child to die in prison. Karen and Judge Rowe make me sick.

These prosecutors have a laundry list of complaints about the crumbles. Some of it is very valid, but some of it is just way off kilter. The woman prosecutor seems very vindictive and malicious in her ways. Then to file motion, not allowing the Crumley a married couple to have contact with each other is completely Wrong it’s a bitter judgment. At the end of the day they got what they wanted and I hope they’re happy.

Watch it again! The Crumbleys were all co defendants so the law is they aren't allowed to speak to one another but the judge is going to check with the Michigan department of corrections to verify that!
