Witness Katie McLaughlin (a Canton Firefighter/Paramedic) graduated from Canton High w/ Caitlin Albert in 2014. When the Defense brought up photos of McLaughlin socializing & being in the same friend group w/ Caitlin Albert, Lally objected to the jury seeing those photos. Judge Cannone sustained. This jury is being deprived of any knowledge & evidence of the many ways in which the Alberts had their hands in this investigation. *Kevin Albert, Brian Albert's brother, arranged Katie McLaughlin's interview* w/ MSP Trooper Proctor _AFTER_ Canton PD was expelled & Massachusetts State Police was assigned to investigate instead (due to a _conflict of interest_ with Kevin & Brian's relationship). Kevin was conflicted out & then spoke to the witness - which could be called "witness tampering!" This is the _ONLY_ witness who claims to have heard Karen say she hit John, and she happens to be biased - yey the judge doesn't want the jury to know that! In fact, she prevented them from knowing it, and they must instead infer the truth solely from Jackson's unanswered questions of McLaughlin as to who arranged her police interview. This is a violation of Karen Read's rights & prohibitive of a fair trial. A man was found deceased on Brian Albert's lawn, and NOBODY in his home at the time was ever investigated. The home was never SEARCHED. Trooper Proctor's text messages to friends revealed that the Alberts _wouldn't be investigated_ because Brian was "a Boston cop." The corruption has been *_displayed on a silver platter_*

Who'd be better at getting a body from inside a house to the front of his lawn w/o being noticed than Brian Albert, a Boston PD surveillance expert? Who better to know how police would investigate a dead body on someone’s property? He knew he could use his family connections w/ the Canton & State Police to keep them from asking him probing questions, taking pictures of his face/hands, and doing the same for his nephew Colin. He knew police would normally search his house, which is likely why he made phone calls that night - to make sure it never happened. He could prove us all wrong by handing over his phone, but he won’t do that.

Oh. And put the body in the FRONT yard, where they could be seen? A car passing by, someone coming home or leaving, a neighbor standing at a window looking out? John was at least 6 feet & weighed 200 pounds. That is difficult for one person to maneuver when that person is alive (John was still alive when he was found, so he had to be alive when/ if he was moved). So it would have probably taken more than one man to move him. Instead of putting John in the BACK yard, they carried him all the way up or down the stairs (depending on WHERE in the house he was killed), maneuvered him out the door, carried him all the way across the yard, through the gate, and then all the way across the front yard? SERIOUSLY? Karen screamed over and over "I hit him, I hit him, I hit him". His blood was found on the bumper of her vehicle, the tail light was broken. She was very drunk, but did not pass out for several hours when she got back home? And SUDDENLY just woke up a few hours later, he wasn't home, and she immediately panicked and enlisted his friends to go with her to look for him? Could see where he was outside the house, when Jen & Carrie couldn't see anything, and went running right to him? Give me a break! And then comes up with this massive cover-up, AFTER the cops, the paramedics, Jen & Carrie listened to her say many, many times that she hit him?
@ThatRedhedd6 ай бұрын
@@Patricia-kz4rl You now know Brian A. would leave John outside on the lawn if he accidentally ended him because he did it, knowing he'd get away w/ it. He hasn't been arrested. Cops never even searched his house! Why? Brian A. has dirt on every powerful person in a 50-mile radius because of his position in law enforcement and the privileges that gave him to pull strings and make things go away. A favor for a favor. Lots of people "owe him one." So, all he has to say to get some help from them is, "If I go down, you're going down with me." Suddenly, people are willing to do whatever he needs. The original McAlbert plan was to blame the snow plow driver. Then, Karen told Jen that she was so frantic, she cracked her tail light backing into John's car at 5am as she left home that morning. Jen secretly called her sister from the car at 6:04am & whispered, "Karen cracked her tail light! I told her she could've hit John with her car!" Brian said that was a much better story to go with (allegedly). Canton PD took everything he told them at face value. They didn’t take 1 photo of John's body at the scene. They should have. That's standard procedure in every police department in the world. So is measuring (or drawing a chalk outkine) where the body was, documenting everything, including all interviews, in reports, and 20 other basic aspects of police work that Canton PD opted out of on 1/29/22. 3 quarts of John's blood were lost according to the ME but were never located. Only a few separate small spots of blood were around him. The 3 quarts were in Brian Albert's basement (allegedly), where nobody looked. That's why he ripped the floor out & replaced it afterward. The trial has presented objective proof of misconduct & nefarious behavior on the part of the Alberts, the McCabes, and all involved law enforcement officers.
@Patricia-kz4rl6 ай бұрын
Did you hear all of this in testimony? I mean about the Alberts having apparently so much power over almost everyone! And the plan to kill John Okeefe was in the works for quite awhile. Otherwise they would have had to do some damn fast thinking from the time John was found, until Karen was arrested. Did she not find it odd, when dropping him off at the Alberts, that he did not come from in back of her car & walk up to the Alberts front door? He was 6' & weighed 200 pounds, but she did not feel anything when she hit him? It may very well have started out being an accident, but if she KNEW she hit him, did not go in to the Alberts' for help, & left him there, then an accident becomes vehicular homicide. Coupled with the fact if Karen was very drunk , had she gone to the police she would also be charged with DUI & leaving the scene of an accident. She left John there to save her own ass. If she went home and went to sleep, WHAT made her wake up a few hours later thinking something was wrong? Why couldn't John have slept on the Arnolds' couch? She KNEW something was wrong because she remembered she hit him, or could not remember if she did, so she had to go find out. Her act in front of Jen, Carrie, the cops, paramedics, and other first responders was all for show & Oscar-worthy. She realized when she opened her mouth & screamed "I hit him, I hit him, I hit him", that she had to come up with something, so her and her lawyer concocted the "cover-up" scenario.

These two opening statements made by the two sides are the perfect example of why some attorneys become Prosecutors and others become Defense attorneys. There is an art to being a Criminal Trial Defense Attorney - when you stand up in front of a jury and give an opening statement it's a performance! A great Defense attorney will be engaging, a bit dramatic, tell a compelling story that the jury is completely interested in listening to ... this is the Defense's first and only chance to make a great impression on the jury and it can significantly affect how the jury considers the rest of the trial, whether they look forward to when the Defense cross examines the State witnesses, whether they look forward to the defense's case in chief, and whether they are open-minded with defense witnesses and eagerly anticipate the defense's closing statements/arguments. A great Defense attorney can flip the whole trial on its end.... the perfect example of this is the Casey Anthony trial in which Jose Biaz took on the powerful State with great Prosecutors and not only kept her off death row, but got her not guilty verdict! This is Prosecutor was dull, monotone, boring, and it probably required every ounce of energy the jury had to keep listening to his droning on and on.

Interesting, i didn't see Higgins come with his snow plow on his Jeep to clear the driveway. Or ANY of the Albert's show up at all but because Karen came and got her shit and left we're supposed to think she killed him? She left with one bag and her car, which is why she needed to come with her family for a ride. Those video's were a great big nothing burger. 😒

This jury is being deprived of any knowledge & evidence of the many ways in which the Alberts had their hands in this investigation. The judge is withholding evidence of the witness's bias from the jury! The _ONLY_ witness who claims to have heard Karen say she hit John happens to have been friends with Brian Albert's daughter for over ten years - and the judge doesn't want the jury to know that! In fact, she prevented them from knowing it, and they must instead infer what the true facts are solely from Jackson's unanswered questions of McLaughlin (a Canton PD Firefighter/Paramedic). As Jackson stated for the record, this is a violation of Karen Read's rights & prohibitive of a fair trial. I remind you that a man was found deceased on Brian Albert's lawn, and NOBODY in his home at the time was ever investigated. The home was never SEARCHED. The corruption is *_staring you in the face!_*

NFW there's a conviction. If the evidence plays out as the defense says, there is reasonable doubt the "officers" conducted the investigation honestly. I came here to ask what all the background noises are in the videos. It's like the cops were moving furniture while trying to capture the ring videos/cop car footage. LAME.

I know they moved the trial to a smaller courtroom at the Defense's request but I would imagine they are regretting that now given Karen Read is literally sitting 2 feet from John's family and they are sitting there staring daggers at her the entire time! They literally have no where else to look except at her ... I bet she feels so awkward every time there's a sidebar and she's left alone at the table with no one in between her and his family... Paul O'Keefe looks like he wants to reach over and smack her upside the head!

That's so unusual and I would have said it would have been a potential appellate issue for the Defense if they lose .. except they're the ones who requested the smaller courtroom ha ha ha !!

Worst defense ever. Conspiracy no one is gonna fall for. They put the entire burden of proof on themselves. Should’ve gone for she hit him by accident.
@bellab92868 ай бұрын
It's most likely that she accidently hit him and didn't realize it, went home and sobered up some and realized he wasn't there and probably faintly remembered hitting something and put two and two together. She was definitely drunk.... She was supposed to go to the after party too, so they probably did argue and that is why she didn't bc otherwise why wouldn't he just go home with his gf who didn't feel well .. During a bag snow storm and how did they expect him to get home... As far as I heard they had never been to that house before and there was some animosity between John and some of the ppl there I think. I LOVE a conspiracy theory and they are doing a good job trying to push that narrative but I really can't believe all the people in the house and the investigators are covering up his death, that's not likely at all. One or two possibly but not all these ppl

Who'd be better at getting a body from inside a house to the front of his lawn w/o being noticed than Brian Albert, a Boston PD surveillance expert? Who better to know how police would investigate a dead body on someone’s property? *Kevin Albert, Brian Albert's brother, arranged Katie McLaughlin's interview* w/ State Trooper Proctor _AFTER_ Canton PD was banned from the case & Massachusetts State Police was assigned to investigate instead (due to a _conflict of interest_ created by Kevin & Brian's relationship). That is *IMPROPER!* When attorney Jackson asked McLaughlin about this on the stand, Lally objected & Judge Cannone sustained. McLaughlin graduated from Canton High with Caitlin Albert in 2014 in a class of 213. When attorney Jackson brought up photos of McLaughlin socializing & being in the same friend group with Caitlin Albert since 2014, Lally objected to the jury seeing those photos. Judge Cannone sustained. This jury is being deprived of any knowledge & evidence of the many ways in which the Alberts had their hands in this investigation. The judge is withholding evidence of the witness's bias from the jury! I think they were all in it… KR and the other side. She was easy to manipulate being the way she was… cheating with his own “friend” and just easy peasy. She thought she was in on the plan but they set her up to take the fall. She’s guilty of something. That’s why she was placed at the house that morning after the bar. They told her to deny being there, that she left the from the bar to home. That’s why she looked guilty because she lied. It was a set up/ murder. She didn’t realize she was the outsider. She was the one that was going to take the fall.
