2nd Story: I think the OP clearly has some deep wounds inside that haven't healed and should seek therapy. While they don't owe their dad or stepbrother a shred of decency or consideration, it seemed like they were way too invested in knocking down a couple of family members whose lives were already a sad mess without their assistance. Hopefully the OP heals one day to the point where they're just indifferent to the people that wronged them.

For the 1st story, I'm surprised that she didn't just burst out laughing when the Karen said " Why didn't you tell me there was glass?!? " Because that's what I would have done. I swear these Karen's just turn everything around when something actually happens. "You don't work here", "There is no glass" to "I'll have you fired!!!","Why didn't you tell me there was glass?!?"

It’s basically Karen Blameshift 101, you see they don’t like being told what to do by a stranger and they can probably see somebody as a stranger that doesn’t have the uniform, however if you warn them enough times and say yeah I do work here but I’m off that little nugget remains with them so when they take a fall like this dummy did, she instantly wants punishment for her actions. If it was me I would’ve said to her “if I don’t work here why do you want me fired?”

I must say that 2nd story is one of the best revenge in my opinion because a childhood without parents is one of the most hurtful things to remember as it can affect the child for a long time. The Karen in the 1st story was looking for an excuse to sue the store. She was probably the one who broke the glass to begin with, then walked away just in case an employee came over. She then returned only to see what she thought was just another customer and intentionally walked and slipped on the glass.

@@rockandtoon2112 Had similar happen to me with return fraud. She was a regular and kept trying to commit return fraud for years on us on the same item. One day she went walking by nothing new walking by again and noticed supervisor out at lunch so she then got her friend to try to commit return fraud same item and same reason and stood right behind her came tried return fraud on me. Sadly they got a supervisor from another department that didn't care and that supervisor over rode me but we spent 2 hours with the store manager and got that supervisor's department to eat the return fraud.

The First Story reminds me of something that happened during the Summer at Work. So it was a fairly busy day. A old man was getting salsa. He placed the jar in the area of the cart you would put a kid at. (That is without lifting the plastic thing.) So it rolled out and shattered everywhere on the floor. I was busy cleaning it up. So then this Young Lady came by while I was cleaning it up. I loudly and firmly told her there is broken glass here. (Not in a aggressive tone as far as I know.) She completely ignored me and got glass in her foam flip flops no doubt. Along with possiblly salsa. Oh and my Manager ended up cleaning up the rest. I had to get back to the Cash Register. (I do a little bit of pretty much everything.)

First storey, reference: I had this kid that climbed the shelves that i just stocked while the mother was not doing anything. I told the kid to get down. The mother told me to mind my own business. I was in uniform, told her it's for her child's safety. They refused to listen. I went to check-out to get my girlfriend to convince them. It didn't work. So, we called our shift manager. He did nothing but told us "see what happens". True enough, the shelf gave way. The kid was hurt by the falling cans. We were laughing so hard. The lady had to compensate us for the broken shelf and all the damaged goods.

*Story 1:* It's insane that some people refuse to take orders from people, even if it's for safety reasons, preferring to learn from experience. Most people see a sign saying *"Warning: broken glass",* or even a verbal warning, they go around, avoiding tracking broken glass around the store.
