Wait a minute…could we consider that 1, maybe CTG knows he doesn’t have the range for these discussions, but he does have the clout to get someone a platform to get access for those who do? 2. The three hosts are certainly qualified to have the discussion, and 3. If you want a person's message to get out, you need to go to where the people are. That's just common sense. If Joy Reid said that, and she's on during Prime Time on one of the biggest cable news channels on the planet, she clearly recognizes the fact that a very large part of our community does not tune in to MSNBC to see her show. But that demographic very well may be reached on Shannon Sharpe's show. True, Sharpe may not ask as many probing questions as you or Karen or Lurie or Clay, but at least that candidate would have the opportunity to get their accomplishments out to that block of our people who don't tune in to MSNBC, Urbanview, etc..

Unfortunately, majority of these Black people that get air time or shows on these networks are nothing but glorified ambassadors that are ALREADY bought and paid for. If Leonard is acting this way, he’s being paid for it. If the podcast is leans into conflict & controversy, it’s been paid for to do just that. We as Black people need to WAKE UP and see what this all truly is!

I like the Angela, Tiffany and Andrew podcast, not a big fan of Charlemagne though!

Whoever and however the Native Lands show came about has created a well informed, and nuanced program. Aside from the press tour, the soup and nuts of the show is solid.

Native Land Podcast is amazing, dope and insightful in every way. Hope they keep up the great work.

I enjoy you all of you all for the positive information and communications that we as black people are having with one another. Keep doing it !!

I think 2 things can exist at the same time. Charlemagne is questionable in his seriousness AND this podcast is a brilliant collaboration that is very informative and has the capacity to reach many because we are not a monolith.

Native Land is absolutely excellent. It's not about the host, but more about their knowledge and experience which we can all learn from. Just great conversations.

I love this show, but I don’t get the shade towards CTG or the Native Land Podcast. A bit disappointed in this episode.

Karen we don’t “need” any particular radio show or podcast. But there is enough room for a variety of perspectives. I think Tiffany, Angela, and Andrew have something to offer our people. What they’re doing doesn’t prevent you from doing your thing. So in the immortal words of Rodney Allen Rippy “Take life a little easier”

Native Land Pod is NOT The Breakfast Club. Andrew, Angela, and Tiffany bring rational information from their individual experiences and vocations.

📣 Joe Madison is sadly no longer here 🙏🏽 so yes we need credible people that also have some popularity, to pull folk into the fold, who have really been in it to speak truth to people and power. The podcast feels like a safe space. Even though if anything is backed by dollars from white people thats not for true DEI it can be compromised. Like "The Black Eagle" being a former NAACP leader giving his voice, theirs has some weight. Not as heavy but its there. I respect you Karen but I had a SiriusXM subscription and was a Wendy Williams radio fan who bought her first book and that's how I came to know you on air. Do you think many Black people have a satellite radio subscription? Or know you? Respectfully. Those 3 have lived experiences with regard to politics. Yes we need them! They had known Black people that are doing the work-work on their show. Even if they didn't have them on during the convention, etc., the three of them alone, to me, are more authentic than many other Black folk with a mic. And I stand for "the work", I've done it... ✊🏽 empowering Black children in Harlem and opening and operating a math and science learning center solo-dolo for 10 years. But now when I'm unhoused with my 4 children including one who is autistc no help. I have 2 Masters degrees, applying everywhere, but not getting hired. Phone screened by the Manhattan DA office by someone with less experience with youth than me. 🙄 Now Charlemagne might not be all there on being truly politcal savvy, and does say the stupid comments, but Native Land is not that. Charlemagne can come invest in me so I can open my center back up, be self-employed again, and keep spreading the polarities of democracy further for our people. ☮️ & 🖤

I just don't understand why we are denigrating their podcast. I have watched every episode, and they seem to come from a place of knowledge, depth and understanding that is real and palpable. They have been IN politics for years and have challenged and asked the questions that WE have as blacks. Taking the time to address questions that we have of our political leaders is important now and definitely in this day of global crises on many fronts.

So we a black folks just sit around and talk about each other's platforms instead of figuring out how we can unite and do better as a community.
@criticalthinker521910 ай бұрын
I am sure they have enough people who want to see them fell. I think their efforts are sincere. Why is it being shot down by this platform and the podcast is just getting started? No one is without criticism, but you would think that same energy would be directed in supporting our sisters and brother. I am sure critique and questions could be made about this platform!!!
