It’s so nice to hear an apology. My mom and dad were never home ..it was scary and lonely ..Yes you did leave me at home but! You also made me stronger, self reliant and independent- and for that, I thank YOU

I thank the stars each and every day that my parents weren't around much.

Wasn't so scary....I knew from the age of 12 where the shells and shotgun was...Instruction was simple. "If anyone forces their way through this door; you shoot them."....

"Took the tape recorder and put it next to the radio, and when the DJ stopped talking you hit record...Technology." Oh man, this woman hit home harder than my mom slapped my face when she caught me in a lie.

I'm a Feb.70 model and had Silents for parents. Thank God. My Silent parents were everything the Boomers weren't, and I had great parenting. Maybe not great, but my parents were there, worked hard, and tried.

If the milk carton people existed today perhaps a lot of missing kids would be found.

My mom was a nanny and used to pick them kids up from school and babysat them in there big ass mansion in the hills of Los Ángeles. Meanwhile my ass would take the public bus back home with other latchkey kids, Mexican nannies coming back from babysitting, rich babies and a dope fiend’s. I actually liked it I felt independent I felt cool sitting in the back with the local hoodlums lol.

Off working? They were having affairs, snorting blow and sorting out the theft of their parents bank accounts, home and possessions as was their divine right. They forgot that they left the GenX kid they never wanted at a rest stop somewhere but couldn't be bothered to go look. If the normal difficulties of raising a family became boring they could simply walk away, find a next new partner and new family. They were busy finding themselves new entertainment and couldn't be bothered with accountability.

The boomers messed this country up 40 ways to Sunday and it all fell on us Gen Xer's. I am a Gen Xer, born in 1967, and I have nothing but contempt for the Boomers.
