I'm pretty sure you were describing me in your introduction. I struggle with cycling but will keep working it. We have T2B in today's CompTrain workout. Great explanation of the T2B.

My question is if athletes are missing flexibility for this movement whether it hamstrings, hips, thoracic... are there drills/ stretches off the bar they should be doing to help with this movement? Great video, thank you.

Brent Tiesma - Hey there, dynamic and static stretching is important to practice in conjunction with these movements.

Question.... my problem seems to be extending my hips to get my legs to the bar, getting my hips to open up is a problem for me, I'm getting better but it's still an issue, do you have any suggestions?

This is a great video, but the part of T2B I'm having difficulty with is when and how to re-grip mid T2B. Any suggestions?

Thank you so much for such insightful informations. You are a gifted coach. Due to a shoulder injury, i can t grab the bar with a pronated grip on my right side. Would you be sweet enough for any advice? Respect. Laurent

After 3 years practising I finally got the tuck+the kick but I cannot still touch the bar..so frustrating. T2B is so hard for me. I have 5-6 strict, so my core is not bad..I'm almost 60.

Could you be so kind as to post a video with some tips on stringing several muscle ups? I'm having trouble setting up between them, always seem to let the rings move a bit too much and then I lose my kip :( Thank you very much!
@CFJaakarhu8 жыл бұрын
Marcelo Rolo, hey there. I have you searched muscle ups on our channel. There should be some videos that can help. Let us know if you can't find anything.

Why so kipp for this move. The controlled move is a quality of its own.

I use a "tap" technique from my gymnastic days at the bottom. I find it makes the movement very easy when performing high reps. Of course, I also like to work them with strict form on certain days. See what you think: kzbin.info/www/bejne/e4CwfomHpbegb68

All those swinging, is her abs work at all?
@GregNaturalImpaktJones7 жыл бұрын
why don't you try one chief?

What's the point of kipping versus doing strict toes to bar with straight legs and minimal swinging? Purely to get more reps faster? Again, crossfit prioritizing numbers over form? The bent legs for example, even in her 'good' example can't be ideal for ab development. She's obviously knowledgable and a phenomenal athlete, but I don't like prioritizing numbers over form as many get hurt as a result of that basic outlook.

I appreciate the sport and its competitive nature, but Crossfit tends to squeeze every bit of what's useful from any exercise down the drain
@GregNaturalImpaktJones7 жыл бұрын
you don't know what you are talking about.
@JackBeddows5 жыл бұрын
@@GregNaturalImpaktJones Really? So prioritizing rep numbers over form never leads to a degradation of form? You think kipping pull ups for example give you the same strength building as strict pull ups? I don't Of course the athletes at the top of the sport are genetic specimens, well trained, and also, likely on peds, but the sport of crossfit has left thousands injured in their wake by the very nature of turning something which should be a zen like approach to bettering yourself, into a competition. It's fun to watch, but that doesn't mean it's the ultimate training method.

Jack Beddows this video is about toes to bar dude! Get off your stupid pull up band wagon, or man up and post a video of your strict pull ups. CrossFitters do strict movements all the time it’s just in competition we don’t use them as often. I’m 37 and I’ll go rep for rep with you any day on strict anything.

what is the point of using momentum to get your toes to bar instead of using core strenght? *clown emoji*
@hadidy135 жыл бұрын
That's the same question I was going to ask actually, that and why the hell they bend there knee a little. I think to master toes to bar you should first engage your core, and stretch your leg till it becomes straight.
