I still listen to these almost every night before falling asleep and they are by far the best things I've ever heard on radio. Karl isn't as innocent as some believe and he would regularly have a pop at Steve in the early days over his appearance. Ricky, being the meal ticket would generally escape criticism. Just 3 great personalities that work perfectly together with little or no effort.

But Steve isn't really that rude in general. Karl is. He just doesn't understand normal etiquette for just not being douchey. Thats not necessarily his fault but I think Ricky and Steve actually have a right to laugh at him. Is that not what the show is about? Karl also is plotting this as they said... Steve doesn't really "plot against" him he just makes fun of how odd he is which is a pretty normal thing. I don't think Steve entirely deserves this... Karl is kind of just pissing with him because he can. Steve usually makes fun of Karl when Karl says things like "I gave you a free keg of lager so therefore I don't have to pay you back change." Also Ricky and Steve both make it very fun and it's usually light hearted when they joke about Karl. Karl is talking about Steve like he looks like a pig-human chimera XD

I think it's good when Karl talks back a bit... But the thing is, there's no trace of humor in his words when he says these things. When he insults Steve it's weirdly serious, ruthless and even appears to be calculated... I mean, Steve has made fun of Karls's head like Ricky, or about his lacking intellect.. But Karl really tries to fuck Steve up by saying stuff like "noone likes you" or that Steve is lonely.
