How a Met Gown is Made | 2018 | Karlie Kloss

So this is how ya do it! Many hours, creativity and thought went in to making this night a reality. My NINTH(!) Met Gala has been one of the best.
Thank you Brandon Maxwell for creating my dream gown, George Cortina for the most to-die-for look, Melanie Inglesias and Harry Josh for the most youthful and fresh make up and hair.

enreeeee it is a theme gala and it is expected to go as the theme that was placed, there are many places to wear simple red carpet looks and this wasn’t the time or the location. She should have worn something more out there because the met gala celebrates the artistic interpretations that designers have of said theme. I’m disappointed she went with such a simple look when could have worn something regarding the theme and still looked as beautiful.

I think this was a missed opportunity. You already have karly kloss to wear your clothes the next best thing is to send her out with a bang. This was a nice dress dont get me wrong. The dress was boring and overly safe. Could have been worn anywhere, even at another red carpet event I would consider this a bit of a meh piece. But at the Met Gala? it's worse than boring. The Met Gala is the time to go ALL OUT. To wear something very over the top, to play with fashion and to really highlight the art of fashion/ Work to the theme, and pull something out that is surprising, and really shows the creativity of designers and the artistry of dressmakers and jewelers. It's a real chance to CELEBRATE art. instead... a boring black sheath gown. lol...

Can't believe using High Heels with your height. That will make you good for playing basketball. Great video and I love the background info. You really have to be patient with all of that time having people doing their work. I tell women that fewl insecure to watch what you go through and the times you get a 24 hour call to be across the world for a shoot. The packing vid was excellent. This week I sailed on a little boat with 2 women that were talking about packing so I told them about your video. Love the view of your world and your infinite patience.

zei nab I think they took a very subtle approach to the theme. The cape and the draping on the back has resembled the catholic fashion and the hair accessories as well. The theme was just supposed to inspired designers and everyone took a different approach. Some ppl really took the literal meaning. This is the fun part about met gala every year.

I don’t want to be negative, but I really wish you had followed the theme. all of your met looks are pretty disappointing because there is such an expectation of creativity yet you play it so safe/boring every time. (you already know this, but) the met gala is hosted by people who have put a lot of effort and time into the party, dinner and theme of the night. I kind of view not being on theme as a little rude to their efforts to host an incredible night for their guests. you should obviously wear whatever you’re comfortable with but shouldn’t be surprised when those who follow you are not as excited as you are to see yet another plain dress year after year.
