I stayed the night in Durham on my way down from Edinburgh because someone had recommended it. Cool little town. I was cracking up at your description of the shenanigans at night in that hostel. Last night I was woken up at 4am in the hostel here in London by a group of seven people coming in, who thought I was in one of their beds. That's hostel life.

I got so excited when I saw this was your new series because I'll to be traveling around Guate in July! Years ago I remember reading the book Wanderlove which is actually about people backpacking through Belize and Guatemala and I've wanted to go ever since. Getting sick while staying in hostels is the absolute worst though - it seems like you still managed to make the best of it. Also, loving the multiple star wars references in this particular video 😂 Can't wait for episode 3!

I traveled through central america earlier this year and have been to so many spots that you've been to. What blows my mind though is i went to the the same rope swing in Flores as you did. That seemed like such a small unique spot, so such a coincidence to see you there too

Wow. Small world! I met Richard (if I remember correctly), Kristen, and Steph in Antigua shortly after you all parted ways! They told me they were travelling with a guy who had a youtube travel account and turns out it was you!! That's amazing! If you're going to Peten (Tikal) I would recommend you to go to Yaxha instead. I found that way better and more interesting. Semuc Champey was a top three experience on my entire trip lastning just a tad more than four months. I can totally relate to that bar-problem you spoke about at Zephyr lodge. I drank ALOT upthere but luckily stuffs cheap so you get away with a tap of around 1500Q after a weekend going hard there and taking their semuc-tour and the tubing. Bar-guy Mike is a real character :)

I was in Caye Caulker May 2018 and didn't take my drone because of the confiscation stories on the web. I did fly into Belize City from Cancun and was asked at the airport if I had a drone. I imagine surface travel poses no issues, but were they strict about flying around the ruins ( which you didn't do) or at the falls?

There was a sign at the ruins saying no drones, so I didn't fly it. Not sure what the rules were at Semuc Champey but I was too ill to even bother trying :)
