How to identify the number of variables as you have taught in the examples

Generally, if you have been given the Boolean expression, then it mentions the no. of variables in the function. e.g F (A, B, C, D) = A' B' C + ACD' + ABC' So, from that, you can know the number of variables in the function. If you have been given a direct K-map, then from that also, you can find out the no. of variables in the k-map. ( from 2- variable, 3- variable or 4 - variable k-map) I hope, it will clear your doubt.
