The patamon/tsukaimon thing is really interesting! Also ShimaUnimon is one of my favorites. I think there was a 02 ep when Mimi (and Yolei I think?) have to save a whole village of Yukimibotamon. Can you you imagine? A whole down of cuddly marshmallows?!

I don't know if they count as variants or more of redesigns but I love the Xros wars version of Greymon and MetalGreymon as well as the Savers version of Kudamon, I love the original's design of being wrapped around a cartridge but I think the yellow looks a lot better than the purple and I love that it has a holy ring as a collar, also you can't go wrong with the Omegamon Alter-S and the other variations

Ok you made me think about Toyagumon evolutions and I looked it up and apparently someone did make super cute evolutions where it turns into different types of toys. It evolves into Plushgreymom, a super cute plush version of greymon. Cardboardgreymon, a version of metalgreymon but it's Plushgreymom wearing cardboard armor. Then Actionfiguregreymon, Wargreymon made out of different pieces of action figure. It's such a cute idea and now I want even more people to create more Toyagumon evolutions.

I think my favorite variant is Socerimon ( I count it as a variant at least). I like that in Digimon Story Cybersleuth and Hacker's Memory you can get Socerimon and Wizardmon from Terriermon and Lopmon respectively. It sort of keeps in line with the idea of the digimon being siblings without having to stick to the rabbit forms. Socerimon is also pretty applicable to the holidays given his very winter motif ^-^

Hmmm. I think my favorite variant is probably solarmon. One, I think the change from a gear motif to a sun motif is really clever, and two, hagurumon is a severely underrated Digimon already, so this cool side-version is like a hidden gem. Also in the new anime they help girillamon shoot people so that's neat

I've been on a Digimon kick lately and have been working on designing/drawing Digivolution lines for some of these abandoned variants. I just finished a champion evolution for Snowagumon based on one of the ancestors of the Therizinosaurs. They've got enormous claws and most have been found to have a coat of feathers so it looks more like a dinosaur that could survive in colder conditions. I was also thinking of making a Muchomon line evolving to a Kiwimon variant and eventually into a witch doctor/quetzalcoatl kind of thing. Also I think it's weird that we have an evil sea serpent in Waruseadramon, and it doesn't naturally evolve into Leviamon. They look to me like they could be related.

Some favorites of mine that weren't on this list are Psychemon, ChaosSeadramon, ChaosWarGreymon and Chaosdramon. And it's not a full, proper variation, but the blue Tortomon from Digimon World 3(Digimon World 2003 in Europe where they never got Digimon World 2), he just looks so cool. There's also the theoretical ChaosDukemon Azure Mode, which as far as I'm aware has only had an official release as Gallantmon Chaos Mode for a toy in... not sure if it was America, Europe or somewhere (outside of Japan) in Asia. Oh, Ophanimon Core and ChaosDukemon Core are also cool too. I think I might prefer ClearAgumon to ToyAgumon actually, because it has a heal skill which is cool. They're pretty interchangeable other than that, so may as well go with the one that can provide heals.

How come you´ve never heard of WaruSeadramon, yet know so many details and references to DW1? It was a boss in the game, working alongside Ogremon. It was one of the harder battles too. Aslo, as you mentioned in the vidoe, it would be very cool to see many of the variant Digimon get a digivolution line of its own. It could make for a very interesting video in my opinion. They like completing some lines here and there, like HeavyLeomon for GrapLeomon and Mitamamon for Kudamon, so seeing a whole line for someone like SnowAgumon would be awesome! I´d say that my favourite variants are Megadramon/ Gigadramon and ChaosSeadramon :) Also also, do different "modes" count as variants?

There's a thing called research you can do for videos without playing every game lol I've not played DW1 since it came out and never beat it and I must have thought the one in Dawn/Dusk was a mistranslated MegaSeadramon. I thought it was supposed to be MegaSeadramon even in the episode of the anime until MegaSeadramon also came along. If you didn’t know waruseadramon till recent you missed out on 2 of the best digimon Games EVER. Digimon world 1 and Digimon World 2. Waruseadramon was a big part of 1 and was apart of the opening mission in world 2. Also if you played the more recent digimon world with 2 partners, you would see that the guy in yellow with machindramon is the original main character from digimon world 1. It’s awesome how they did that.

There should definitely be Toy AND Snow versions of the rest of the Agumon family! I really like Psychemon and Gururumon for some reason, sadly they are constantly overshadowed by the much lamer BlackGabumon family, it's easy to just paint them black, Psychemon came up with its own colours! For that same reason, BlackWargreymon has gone down a few notches for me recently, specially after Cybersleuth showed me the blue Greymon, BWargreymon would be 10 times cooler if it had dark blue skin with the black armour, it would contrast better and be more visually interesting than just pure black. Also, why does SnowGoburimon get a hat and a wool vest, but SnowAgumon doesn't?

Most of these subspecies are from the l legendary Digimon World. XDD i freaking love all of them, mostly ShimaUnimon and WaruSeadramon, and for the second one, i had waited CENTURIES FOR HIM TO FINALLY APPEAR IN THE ANIME!!!!! :D Where's SnowAgumon, Dokunemon,Vermillimon,Saberdramon, Darkrizamon, Muchomon, Vermillimon, and SandYanmamon and then also BlueMeramon and Aruraumon though? ;--------;

I don't know if this count's, but the fact that a huge number of Angel and Fallen Angel digimon evolve from subtle variation's of the Plotmon line. Plotmon digivolves into Black Tailmon, Tailmon and Meicoomon(Cannonically.). All 3 of these digimon are responisble for, Rasielmon, Ophanimon, Ophanimon FD, Lilithmon, Beelstarmon and Raguelmon. Also i just really like how each angel digimon has a whole "Fallen" angel version of themselves, sometimes extreme ones such as Lilithmon apparently being a "Fallen" Ophanimon, despite Ophanimon having it's own separate Falldown Mode. You could also say that Plotmon really does bring the PLOT(boobs) to the digimon franchise, since legit all it's cannon final evolutions are hot women. I'm not sorry.
