Reposting + Pinning this comment from one of our previous episodes. Thanks for watching! For those concerned about the ratio of Men to Women - Read This: 📌I understand your concern and I believe it comes from a pure place, that is why I will take the time to address this question once and for all so you understand where we are coming from. 📌 1. The show concept is "Meant to Be Singles Retreat." The priority first and foremost is to create a retreat where singles can come together and fellowship with like-minded believers. Finding a potential match is a BONUS. But Godly friendships/ community are also important because oftentimes in relationships we lack accountability and community support. In this episode, yes, there are less guys than women, so it's natural to 'assume' the men have an advantage of "picking" (we'll address that next)... but consider this, the women have the advantage in finding and making new friends, which they did. 😊 📌2. We are very intentional about everything we do, and also very prayerful. There is never an instance where the men "pick" a woman. There is only mutual matching and both the men AND women are given the power to choose and make a decision. This is NOT like other shows. I can't give it away, but you just have to watch to find out🙂. 📌3. No one as "blindsided." We had a personal zoom meeting with everyone before coming on the show. They were aware of the ratio and as grown adults, they all still decided to participate. I believe they were willing to travel from their different locations to take part in this because they saw the value in the show "outside" of just finding a match. In this first episode, everyone answers the question of "what are you looking to gain out of this experiences." I encourage to watch back and carefully listen to everyone's response. 📌4. We prioritize QUALITY over quantity. I am not here to waste anyone's time, and I will not put someone on the show just because they are a certain gender. If you don't truly love Jesus and have a relationship with him, this is not the show for you and that's ok. There are many other dating shows with A LOT of men to choose from. You can go on there if you want more options. This show is more so about the QUALITY of the experience and the PURPOSE behind it. 📌5. Proof of concept. That was one of our goals for Season 1. We thank the brave men and women who decided to join the first season of Meant to Be Singles retreat. They believed in our vision and were excited about participating. Men are often hesitant to get on dating shows especially because of the embarrassment these days. We are hoping with this proof of concept, people realize that this is a safe and supportive environment where they can come to find love. I believe and hope more quality men will be willing to apply after this. 📌6. Be the CHANGE you want to SEE. 🙂 I love that you are concerned. That means that a lot of you can be our change ambassadors and help us move the vision of the show further! Be the change that you want to see in the world of dating. If you want to see more godly men, I encourage you to get outside your comfort zone and go to your family, friends group, church, etc. Tell the single men (and women) you know to apply: karolyne.com/casting -- we are all doing what we can over here, but this is a way you can help! Thanks! 📌 7. COMPATIBILITY is KEY. The singles at the retreat are all compatible, which increases the likelihood of a match. We don't blindly put a group of singles on the show, "hoping" there's a match. We truly LISTEN to what the singles want and desire out of a relationship and future spouse, even down to the smallest details. They match perfectly on paper, but what happens when they meet, is up to them and up to God, it's out of our hands from there. I encourage you to keep following along their journey and stay hopeful. Join us again on Thursday for another episode of Meant to Be! 😉

This show needs more men. At least 2 more would have made this better.

I think the idea of having the participants pick choices was good ; however, it was difficult to see what the participants wrote, and the hosts didn’t announce what they wrote. Also, the other participants didn’t get to see or hear what they wrote. Thus, it was a little uninteresting to watch. I think this is something that can be remedied in the future. I look forward to the next episode.

@TheRacquelM I do agree with this. Maybe encourage the participants to write their answers bigger and use some jumbo markers. RED always stands out. Maybe use RED markers instead of black.

Great concept… love Christian Dating Show! - lots of quick questions gets boring (how can you make it more engaging) Maybe it can be like speed dating and those can be conversation starters for the them so we can see engagement, laughing, talking, and connections

I enjoyed the video. I found myself answering the questions along with the people. Again, this is a great concept because of its simplicity and realness.

@saraw7050 I wrote them down and asked them with my future husband. He enjoyed it, and we are learning new things about each other as I adopt some of Karolyne and her husband's ideas.

I like that there are only two men. I'm sure they factored in cost in order to produce such a quality event. We never see the bigger picture, but I understand there is one. I'm really enjoying the entire setup. Keep up the intentional production. ❤❤❤

I am really enjoying this programme, however I would agree that the male to female ratio has to improve. Some will inevitably be disappointed the way it is.

Anyone know the reason for only 2 men? It would be great for the ladies to have more options & not have to wait for their turn. Especially since its an older group. Lovely show & people ❤

I believe bc they were factoring in men who are truly followers of Christ and also men who would potentially match with them. They said in the comments in other episodes if y’all know any men that are qualified inside and out to tell them to sign up for casting. Also, this is a mature Christian channel so I’m sure they are vetting these people so that there’s no foolishness. Plus this is America and I’m not sure if many men answered the call. Hopefully the Lord has been raising up more men for marriage and if He has hopefully they answered His call. Bc there’s a lot of qualified women but not sure men. I would love to be proven wrong next season.

The last game 'to me' was in contrast to the other two 'if' the objective was to see what they have in common. Plus, i hardly saw what they wrote. I get it though, with time, improvements will be made from looking back. I'd also love to know what happend to the light skin girl when she started filming. Its always hard to watch her. No judgment just pain.

I think they should have left it to 2 guys n 3 girls. That is too many for two men to try n date.
@rhondagoodwin571116 сағат бұрын
@yolandap6521 In reality, men typically can date this many women, especially within thirty days ( meaning to collect data or even see it as an event). Most men are more chilled in their search. Most times, women typically go into dating with an expected outcome of marriage. Men win, loose, or draw. they're typically cool with gaining a friend. I've learned this about men over the years. That's why it's never ok for women to chase men. I like the setup.
