@luvnlife135 Жыл бұрын
Love it! One question: Since popcorn is edible, could you use real popcorn? Possibly like a caramel corn, so it is more durable. I'm just curious since it would be a hugh time saver. Thanks.

i feel like im bombarding all your videos lol. quick question; crisco vs piping gel to adhere fondant..... i feel like ive seen you use both. under which circumstances would you use one vs the other? thanks
@KarolynsKakes2 жыл бұрын
No worries! I use crisco when I need the ability to adjust the pieces into the right place. So if I am doing something like stripes, most of the time I will use crisco because once I put them on the cake, I can adjust them into place. It's not as strong of a hold as piping gel as the pieces could easily be moved out of place. (So if a kid gets a hold of the cake, they could easily peel pieces off.) I use piping gel or water when I want it to stick really well. I hope that makes sense!

Hi Karolyn are you using the same buttercream to cover the cake as you use to fill the cake, as you mention crusting buttercream.... Also im trying to make white buttercream, ive changed my butter to a lighter colour also ive added a tiny bit of purple colourent but its turned light purple guess ive added too much 💜 thankyou Karolyn

For carving this popcorn shape bucket can you freeze it then carve it

Thank you so much, I really admire the love and passion you put into your work, you make everything look so very easy. @KarolynsKakes Жыл бұрын
Are you using American Buttercream? You must use a crusting buttercream for this method. If you ice the cake with a meringue buttercream, it doesn't crust and you'll have to use a different method. If you are using ABC, sometimes you have to let it sit for like 5 minutes before you use the towel so the icing can crust over.
