Funny, you 2 have the same type destinations for settling down as us. Its always about water. We live on the Gulf of Mexico in Pensacola, FL. We love Thailand but fell in love with Crete last September. Don’t put down a penny on a house until you visit Matala. Small and quiet with a hundred outdoor restaurants. And “Red Beach” is incredible. There is one negative. The water is only warm for about 3-4 months. Guess you need a place in the Philippines also. Good luck, Hobie

Glad to hear you're going to visit Rhodes - just returned from a week. The medieval Old Town is beautiful as is Lindos albeit swamped with tourists. If you wanna try kite surfing then I recommend visiting Theologos. You must also do the day trip to the nearby island of Symi. The harbour here is the most beautiful in the whole of Greece in my view. Enjoy and keep up the amazing vlogs 👍

If you're travelling up through the Dodeconese Islands, keep heading further north and make it to Lesvos. Beautiful Island, especially in the north (Molyvos, Petra, Sigri, Skala Eresou). Such diverse landscapes - from pine forests to desolate petrified forests, and stunning beaches. Well worth visiting!!

If you haven't gotten yourselves over to Sifnos, consider it, pretty sure you'd enjoy this lush Greek island. The most green with vegetation rather unique to Greece and of course being famous for having the best cuisine in all of Greece beyond the usual beautiful beaches, mountains and fortunately too, not highly touristic!

I've watched all of your Karpathos videos and definitely appreciate the wide range of the island. It looks beautiful. Such lovely villages as well as coastal views. Great videos as always ! suggestion: Karpathos is one of the best destination for water sports near Makris Gialos beach, just under the Baja Bar. The special thing about Meltem wind is, that it is not thermic wind, it blows all day. In the main season (mid June till mid September) the wind blows non-stop everyday and has the power between 5-8 Bft. Off season (May, June and September), the power of the wind can vary between 4-7 Bft. A video about your windsurfing initiation would be cool. Best.

The sea bass is from fish farms in Greece. I doubt its caught locally.

The seas in Greece are heavenly and the cleanest in Europe, so even from fish farm (which can be entirely local) or local in front of you, it is wonderful. And that is just seabass. Anything of food in Greece is generally superb

The building that houses the archaeological museum is a typical administrative structure of the italian period of Dodecanese (1911-1943). If you visit other Dodecanese Islands you will spot similar buildings immediately. The fascist regime of Mussolini tried hard to transform greek people there to italians(???) obliging them to learn italian but failed. Dodecanese was annexed to Greece in 1947, from the Axis since Greece was on the winners side in wwii.
