They need to change the practice range bots to have hit boxes more similar to hero hit boxes. The bots have such huge head hit boxes it doesn’t even feel worth practicing on them.

For the arcade suggestion, there should be a "Community Spotlight" game mode. Each week (maybe more maybe less) there should be a mode from the community that people enjoy added into the arcade. Or like the card can have a set amount of community mode that you randomly get when you queue up for it.

I don't mind it, but I don't think too many players would like random community game modes. Just one highlighted once in a while is fine.

Suggestion: Zaryas secondary fire (not the beam one) should probably take less ammo to shoot or the damage should be buffed. I think her reload is a tiny bit too long so to only shoot 4 balls and then reload seems to offset her tempo a bit, if that makes sense. (Also nerf mauga :P)

with Zarya, tho, you only need an ammo value of 1 to secondary fire, and as it's meant for long and medium distance damage, it's not supposed to be consistent since she's a close-range hero. and when she has high charge, it does about 100 damage, which is just slightly weaker junkrat mines that have a way bigger blast radius.

You can min max the damage by firing the grenades while firing the beam in between. This way you have some added beam damage with the same amount of grenades per mag.

Suggestion: Total Mayhem was fun in ow1, but in ow2 its just "whoever picks ball, winton and moira first, wins", except on payload maps, defending teams almost always wins.There's no way to kill them, both tanks will just spam their shields and moira just fades every second, so you cant kill her. I would like the devs to make some balance changes regarding tanks in total mayhem, either reducing tank's hp, their shields capabilities, or increasing their cooldows (just like they did with zarya's bubbles and ana sleep). But its an arcade mode so they probably just wont care

Total Mayhem was always defense favored. It made every game mode in OW1 feel like 2CP. I don't see how it got worse.

I'm team "remove tank lethality, go heavier utility." I think the primary reason why tank players are "picked on" (people use any cc/debuff they can, punish mistakes more heavily, counter pick immediately) is BECAUSE players of other roles feel like they NEED to in order to survive. If tanks have both high survivability AND high lethality AND often have decent to good mobility, then what other options do we have? Because so much team power has been allocated to the tank role (out of proportion to the other players on the team) it just makes sense to devote more resources into countering the enemy tanks, because otherwise they never die and may just wade into your team and dominate. Blizzard HAS to nerf them back down in relative power and rethink the role, and utility IS the way to go imo. Since the tank role was given pretty much exclusive access to low cooldown CC (Jav toss, PIN, DF punch, hook, WB knock ups, etc) it's not even hard to imagine how they'd go about it. I could see it go this way: Design tanks NOT as heroes that attempt to absorb or mitigate huge amounts of damage. Make them more fragile over all and encourage them to play like the other roles that can't depend on a large health pool and support pocket to do their job. Instead of barrier being a core part of their "tanking" ability they could be shorter duration and longer cool down but powerful abilities to help their team in specific moments such as saving your team from an ult, or protecting a team member who needs to be in the open to use their ult, for example. Focus the tank role on team defensive abilities (rather than personal defensive abilities to let them "tank" forever under enemy fire,) AND they can be the masters of close range utility and CC to punish the enemy when they engage into your space, or to set up openings when you engage into theirs. Rather than tanks always feeling like they should be able to "secure the kill" after landing a hook, jav, punch, etc they should be less lethal personally, but setting up kills for the team to follow up on. Maybe these abilities are redsigned with additional effects that encourage your team to do so, like a DF punch causes the enemy to become vulnerable (with an easy to see marker of some kind) and take extra damage like discord orb for a couple of seconds. Hog hook might apply the hinder effect instead of just being an unavoidable follow hit that kills you. Perhaps Zarya's bubbles don't amp her damage as much when hit, but DO reflect a portion of the damage absorbed back at the enemy (thus punishing the person who won't stop hitting the bubble, more than punishing their whole team.) There's a ton of interesting and useful ways to reduce tank direct lethality and survivability while still giving them an impact on the fight AND not have it be so powerful that the entire enemy team feels like they have to "punish the tank" in order to survive themselves.

Suggestion: Add more “empowered” abilities. Doomfist’s block isn’t a perfectly designed ability by any means, but the idea of empowering your other abilities is really fun and satisfying. I think a lot of characters could really benefit from having some sort of empowerment meter. For example, maybe by dealing enough damage, Reaper can empower his Shadow Step, which makes it cast a little faster and gives him full invincibility the whole way through, allowing him to use it as an escape option. Or for another example, maybe if Genji deflects enough damage, it empowers his next dash and it does like double damage. I get why people don’t like being punished for their teammates’ mistakes, but the game is a team game and I feel like if all or most heroes have a mechanic like that then it kinda evens out.

I liked Brigette’s empowered shield bash in the Mirrorwatch mode. Not saying that one specifically should be introduced, but it would be cool to see them experiment with it more.

The sym suggestion is fine except switch the size/speed with the time charged. So the SHORTER it charges, the faster it travels and the smaller the hitbox (along with the decreased dmg).

suggestion: hanzo has his storm arrows at all times and can use them individually at any time (similar to tracer’s blinks) and each arrow will have a 2-3 second cooldown, with a visual indicator of the number of arrows available, so he can weave in storm arrow shots before or after a headshot to make kills faster and more effective without giving back his one shot. also give back his scatter shot but balance it so it only does around 125 hp if all shots hit as well as a slightly bigger spread (i havent experienced it so i apologize if it still needs better balancing)

suggestion: when a new player opens the game for the first time, the game should ask them for their preferred playstyle, and load the tutorial for the hero that matches the player's playstyle. like for someone who wants to get in and fight, game can choose mauga's or rein's tutorial, for players that like assasins they can have sombra, genji, etc

QoL Suggestion: Petal Platform should descend down after 1.5s of no one standing on it and reset for further activation, so it could be used multiple times (life timer starts after 1st activation). Petal Platform is easily disruptable by both enemies and allies, so, with these changes PP would become a lot more consistent in both providing value for the team and for LW himself.

They should definitely do that for arcade cause the queue times are eternal, but for quick play and ranked I feel it should be a map rotation/voting system where you can vote for one of 4 random maps before you queue Ideally each map would be a different game mode, and new maps are always on rotation for the first week or so (instead of an arcade card that doesn't even have role q), that way it wouldn't increase queue times and still give players agency

Suggestion: in Push the bot will move 20% faster with the losing team (only running speed, not pushing). Once you get the lead, that speed boost goes to the enemy team

The extended duration after performing a jump/crouch input for Mercy's GA should be based on the amount of momentum she has built up in her borderline-irrelevant momentum meter. At full meter it could be the full extended duraton (+1.5 seconds currently?) and maybe a third of that at minimum meter. This would absolutely reduce the frustration of some GA related bugs, and it makes a ton of sense considering that a super jump at minimum momentum lasts for a much shorter effective time than a super jump at full meter anyways.

Suggestion: based on the Content Creator patch, I'd say Scatter Arrow can replace Storm Arrow with one minor tweak - make the arrow have to bounce twice, before it scatters. This ensures Tanks can't be obliterated using the ground-bounce shot, while also making it so that Tanks (w/ their higher health pools) can actually act as counters to the damage, by imposing themselves into the LoS before the second bounce happens. The ability becomes what it was meant to be -- a small room clearance mechanic, rather than a punishing amount of burst. Also gets rid of Storm Arrow which is and always has been boring af.

Suggestion: I think a great way to solve the immortality issue is to change them to the same effect as Ana nade. When Ana shoot nade shoots she can save nearly anyone. I think if bap immortality field just gave the nade healing boost he could still save people quite easily with regenerative burst or just a shot. And the attacker still feels like they could still secure the kill as they aren’t just simply invincible. This change could also allow immortality field to be on like a 12 second cool down rather than a 30 second cool down which would feel way better for the bap player. Side note but this would also stop immortality field from completely countering ults with a cool down.

Suggestion: Mauga Honestly, I see him being salvagable due to his fun playstyle and idea/personality, but does need a rework of some kind due to his one note playstyle as a "tank buster" For me, I recommend 3 changes: 1) Remove the chaingun ability to set people on fire and keep the overhealth when hitting critcial (more dmg for low accuracy versus low dmg for precision aim and overhealth) 2) Have his shout be more selfish like JQ, and have the chaingun immediately set on fire upon hit (will not prock auto crits though) 3) For every elimination, he gains a small burst of health (like Genji, but with healing) In doing so, he no longer can focus on the tank if he wants to get full value. To do so, he would need to elimination weaker enemies for that. And to maximize the value, he would need to shout for CQC or long range engagements against flying heroes. However, this also grants a bigger window for him to be vulnerable if he isn't eliminating.

Suggestion: Give tanks a passive when having allies alive increases damage reduction by a small amount. eg rein starts at -4% damage reduction and gains 5% for each friendly player alive, resulting in 16% when all 4 allies are alive. The damage reduction bonus is removed for each player that dies and maybe reapplies when the respawned player makes LOS with the tank for a small duration. (this is to have the buff not reapply just as the player leaves spawn). This increases the value of non tank enemies to disincentivize just shooting at the tank due to their damage reduction. This should be adjusted for individual tanks.

Suggestion: fix one of the many issues with Mercy’s design by removing damage boost and her pistol, by allowing her staff to shoot. It could be as strong as a Lucio gun or maybe an Illari gun, so she can actually fight and not tamper with break points

Suggestion: Baptiste should have the quality of life change for his stats tracking how much healing/damage is amplified through window when you hit tab in game. It will make it easier to track and help the player with stats and how much to heal/dmg through it (also the hardest achievement to get so it will help with that too)

suggestion: a possible way to make lifeweaver viable without completely breaking anything is to make it so that he's the only support who is not affected by the DPS passive. for the most part, his whole thing is healing (grip is cool but has such a long cooldown), and he doesn't have any game changing utility other than that, so at least this might get him out of F tiers

Heavy utility and lower damage for tanks could fit them more like support in MOBA games where they focus more on setting up kills and preventing damage to teammates instead of dishing out damage

Suggestion: Hanzo should get his one shot back but just take long time to hold fire to activate. After fully pulling the bow back, it should take one or two seconds for 1-shot damage to 'flash' into activation. Charge time to reach one-shot can be regularly tweaked for balance.

My symmetra idea was that if her beam has full charge she can fire a alternate full charge orb right away. Which would bump her beam back down to level 1 or 2 after firing the orb.

Suggestion(s): More hitscan tanks that can actually deal with flying heroes. Except Dva (who can at least chase them from their position), most "hitscan" tanks have a range problem (ball junkerqueen) others are projectile based (ram orisa sig) then you have mauga who basically does nothing. Its frustrating being bombarded with pharah nukes and not being able to fight back except hoping someone on your team is a hitscan machine. Either add more hitscan tanks or give them more utility to at least punish bad positioning like Ram's vortex. (Just a played a game as Jq with a team that was running pharah, echo, mercy, dva, lw) so yeah I'm a little salty

Suggestion: Add day cycles and randomly generated time of days in the game (aside from day or night). With each differing time of day it would change the placement of the sun and giving a wider range of shades. It does cater to the casual side a bit but that is the majority of the game at the moment

Suggestion : extend the left part or the practice range to create a new building/room/space. Presenting bots covering each hp pool, far enough so we can test the range modifier.

Suggestion: Blizzard should allow us to gift cosmetics from our gallery to people on our friends list to avoid account buying (assuming that they would make sure skins couldn’t be duplicated with any foreseeable bugs or glitches with this addition)

Suggestion: change Mercy beam, so if she stays too long healing or on dmg boost, she starts losing health or the beam itself loses impact. That could make her playstile change so she isnt just a heal bot.

Suggestion: Maybe LW gets some damage over time on the petal platform for aggresive setups. While it does provide verticality to both teams, enemies should suffer a penatly for using it. Nothing much, no cc for sure, but just some damage to make it more ....' fruitful'.

I HATE daytime outdoor maps. If there is someone in the air, I always lose my crosshair in the sun's brightness. It is soo much easier to see my crosshair at night.

Suggestion: they can add a new voice line for ana when she is reloading, for rein they can add effect after he charges he leaves a small path (like kitsune) in which other teammates, if they are close, get a small speed buff so they can follow rein in, and for mercy in her ult she shouldnt have to switch between dmg boost and heal instead when she is in ulting she has both active at once

Suggestion: bring back end of season rewards, maybe not just competitive points (for example: skin for plat and above, highlight into for gold and above, etc.) It feels way more rewarding to have something at the end of the season that shows your competitive grind.

mauga also shows a number how many are effect by cardiac overdrive we are adding much more dmg into the heroes that they feel more powerful THATS why he mean "stop the power creep" i am waiting till season 18... 300 HP for everybody cause we are back to oneshot anything dont buff the numbers of the tanks... buff the ability to outplay enemy counterpicks LUL is the thing that tanks outdmg dps/supports really a metric? in which case a tank will solo 1vs1 a supp or a dps? never cause they have a team.

Suggestion : They should nerf/buff the parts of tanks that hard counter each other ie dvas weakness to zarya beam, or dooms weakness to hog hook. Dont make it a neutral matchup, but make it more skill focused with counterplay options

I wouldn't mind tank having more utility but I don't see why they have to shift support utility to tank. If tank is currently damage and mitigation, and DPS is... DPS and it's passive, and support is utility and heals, why does tank have to trump support? I understand nerfing support utility so the actual amount of it and stacking doesn't get insane. But I don't really like removing and mitigating supports identity in order to kinda sorta give tank one.

Suggestion: Hanzo's normal primary fire should ricochet from walls. This gives him another way for confirming kills against enemies near cover without storm arrows or one-shot while allowing for high skill expressions as a trick-shot sniper.

Suggestion(s): Doom's empowered punch shouldnt have the same counterability as his normal punch. Its supposed to be a stronger, more forceful punch, so it should act like one too when it comes to counters like Brig Shield Bash, Rein Charge, or Mauga Charge. Make it so Empowered punch "powers through" normal bash and Rein charge to only knock down the enemy and allow Doom to keep standing to follow through more. Rally bash can counter still to knock both down (instead of one sided stun), and count as equal with Mauga to knock both down (yknow, since Doom is supposedly equal with Mauga power wise, let his Emp. Punch be the only thing that can counter Mauga's charge) If you wanna take it further, make Emp. Punch be able to punch Orisa's Fortify like if it were a normal punch on normal Orisa, cause horse needs a bit more counterability. Finally let Doom punch connect normally if you punch a Rein Charge from the side instead of knocking them both down.

Doom is already pretty strong rn, so I doubt blizz would do this. I feel like a better change would be to have these knockdowns have different levels of strength, so brig bash is the weakest while doom empowered and rein pin are the strongest, and the person with the lower level charge gets knocked down only, or maybe just is knocked down longer

@@BuffGenji Apparently he's so strong they cant fix any of his ~100 bugs either. He's either a monster, or too inconsistent. TBH, he's honestly a bit of a glass cannon too. No armor/shields, tied for least hp in tank, need to hit with abilities to get a little overhealth. Queen's the same but she just needs to hit a button to get 150 overhealth. and her skills/ult have decent leech, she just doesnt have much mobility. Under the right circumstances they both can handle fights, but I feel Queen is more likely to do better

Suggestion: Give us the option to disable non-relevant voice lines and scripted interactions/spawn banter. Alternately, an option to only hear them a limited number of times and then they're taken out of the pool, so new ones can get heard but I don't have to hear them forever. I've been hearing some of this stuff since OW1 and there's no good reason for it.

Suggestion/Hot take: moiras healing and damage interaction should flip. Instead of needing to deal damage in order to have enough resources to heal, i think she should need to heal to charge/buff her damage. DPS moiras are common in lower rank, so giving them a very strong incentive to actually protect the team and not just flank the whole game would be great.

I am fine with moira being easy and fun to damage with, but i think all supports should be incentivised to heal as much as possible, not damage as much as possible (there is a paladins character, a healer angel with a swordgun, who has a fire rate buff that increases the more healing she does. She was easily my favourite character when i played that game and having a similar system in overwatch would be great)

Competitive ranking should be based on a player's individual performance (elim/death ratio, assists, objective time, etc.), not just whether your team win or loses. It's frustrating to lose rank after losing a match because a teammate left early or decided to throw the game for some petty reason. This could force toxic players and leavers to play in lower ranks and make losing less punishing for players who actually put effort into the game

Hell yeah, let's make the game less about winning or losing, and more about how you manipulate the system. Shoot trash damage that doesn't kill anyone, only shoot the tank so you have a higher accuracy, avoid engagements so that you never die. Only focus on doing poke damage and hope that someone actually trying finishes the kill so it counts as an elim for you. And everyone who abuses that system can all play with each other in their own rank, also it's cool that that system would benefit some heros over others. Have a Sombra on your team just sitting in their back line just waiting to hack people the whole game, never actually getting kills providing no value to your team? Well that person is just better than you because they died less and should be rewarded. 🎉

@@wargex I really understand your point. Why should anyone receive a loss after having an unfair disadvantage of having a leaver? Why should one DPS player with 30 kills and 10k dmg lose/gain the same amount of rank as the second DPS with 4 kills, 12 deaths, and 1k dmg

suggestion: let solo queue players queue into ‘wide’ comp games if they want. wide group matchmaking takes way too long. i don’t want to queue for an hour to play a game that finishes in under 10 minutes. even when you win in a wide group is not as satisfying to me due to how long we have to wait to play it.

Suggestion: The Season 9 changes felt fresh but didn't solve the main problems of healing AND damage creep, my suggestion for the next big yearly change Overwatch has is to revert the dps passive, along with most of the buffs heroes got in season 9/10 AND change the health pools back to their original values, nerf literally every dps heroes damage and every support heroes healing (excluding lucio, zen) and see where we go from there. I feel like the game is digging itself a deeper hole by avoiding the actual solution and although this might make people mad because their favorite character is getting nerfed, it will make the game a lot more fun to play without feeling like you either explode or cant cut through any healing. (tank nerfs and changes will have to be made too especially to Roadhog, Mauga and Orisa).

Suggestion: Give Hanzo his one-shot back, and add fall-off damage beyond mid-range. None of this 225 hp bs that will needlessly change other heroes' interactions with breakpoints. This will force him to play riskier instead of sitting at the back of the map lobbing shots. This will also solve the rare random kills at extreme ranges.

I’ve never understood this stigma that Sym is low skill. I’ve always felt she requires some of the highest skill to get consistent value out of. I agree her turrets are low skill but the rest of her kit is high skill. Of all the beam type heroes, she’s also arguably the most difficult to play She has to hit 3 orbs just to kill a 250 hp target. That is not easy to do. Her beam charge change was a good change. And then there’s her tp, which has bugs and is a difficult ability to get full value as well. As it’s been said on this channel before, Sym suffers from consistency as a dps as well as having many tools but not excelling at really anything. As a dps, she probably has the most hard counters too. Pharah and Echo just obliterate everything she can do.

There should be a notification in the team chat whenever the enemy team swaps a hero. It already shows the hero they switched to in the scoreboard but a little notification would be nice too. Would alleviate a bit of the frustration whenever the enemy team decides to suddenly counter swap to win a team fight.

Counter swapping isnt going to suddenly make that big of a difference and just tab to check if you are really that vulnerable to it. because it makes no difference anyway. if them counter swapping is going to make them roll you next fight then you're going to lose that fight regardless if you know they did or not. knowing they swapped isnt going to change the fact youre going to get rolled, what you going to do? run all the way back to spawn and change? if you do that youre giving up anyway and its no different from just losing the next fight and swapping then

If a Widow is dominating a game and someone on the other team swaps to Sombra, the Widow can be more prepared to deal with them if they was a line on the chat that said something like "Enemy swapped characters " It doesn't fix the problem but it's a small advantage to the team that's being swapped against.

It's literally a non issue and if for you it is, just quickly press tab and check. If you're not prepared anyway you're not going to be prepared after seeing that line, if sombre is that big of a threat to you then nothing is going to help regardless

Suggestion: Subtle Predator-distortion or faint blurred transparent distortion silhouette for Sombra instead of full invisibility, maybe based on range. Further away where she's less effective, full invis is fine. Getting closer, give us a ramping visibility which still requires you to be looking at her (foveated?) so she still has to stay out of your direct line of vision and we get a chance to spot her. Maybe slightly exposed when she walks right through the center of your camera or something? Just fix Sombra. Invis is stupid.

Suggestion: Lifeweaver needs more ways and opportunities to deal damage. For example, make it so that whenever Lifeweaver lands thorns on a target, they burst when he reloads to deal additional damage (similar to Kalista in League of Legends) or give him additional damage over time whenever he lands thorns (poisonous thorns). I believe something could also be done with the petal plaltform. Give the petal platform his old passive (Parting Gift, the one that left a heal pack behind that can be picked up, similar to Bard's W in League) so that people have more of an incentive to use his platform while also not having to be actively healed by him, or let the platform deploy a shield bubble as soon as it's activated, similar to Winston's bubble, but smaller, of course. Could be 200 hp? (Also please make switching between damage and healing less clunky but I think they're already working on that.)

@@ggolden agreed! but her kit is fairly more strict so I'm not sure how that could be implemented. Perhaps once a teammate has had a beam connected for 3 seconds the effects will last for 3 more seconds which would give her a bit of an opportunity to dps? Or maybe she just needs a new ability altogether.

CRAZY SUGGESTION: Move Symmetra back to support. -Give her turrets a stackable damage reduction aura instead of dealing damage with lasers (-3% damage for each turret in range of the target? Not sure....) -Make her secondary back to the old penetrating chubby orb, but it heals teammates it touches instead. (not sure what size, healing total and speed would feel balanced) -Teammates that pass through her teleporter gain 25 overhealth for 6 seconds or until it wears off (cannot stack, cannot reapply to the same hero for 10 seconds). This along with her barrier ult will make her more of a brawler support like Brig and Lucio, but with more mitigation based support with decent healing and the teleporter overhealth will make her a viable option for dive comps. (maybe I'm biased and just really get bored with poke comps)

-3% is negligible, but I like the idea. For reference Orisa fortify is an instant -40% and nano is -50%. Although I feel stacking damage reduction is very unhealthy for the game even with the current max of 50% reduction. The heroes are balanced with breakpoints in mind, so any reduction will throw people off and make up for unsatisfying gameplay.

@@D-Doc-C I did think about that as the turrets are still destroyable and have limited range, but will also stack with other abilities. This would apply to more squishy heroes to give them more offensive play. Maybe 5%? Hmmm.... 🤔 What if the turrets had a healing aura and her secondary just went back to penetrating barriers before? I recall the experimental mode they had before where the Sym turrets used heal beams and they felt really weak and easily found and destroyed (and now Illiari has it and it somehow works in the 5v5, but it didn't in 6v6?)

I like the idea of Symmetra being a more brawl hero like she is now, but now her Turrets feel kinda pointless above silver since everyone below have the awareness of dead earthworm in space. Maybe they can bring back her single giant turret concept from Project Titan and it can have some kind of utility for her instead of being based on damage.

Suggestion: Make more charity skins for different heroes. People clearly like these and it's for a good cause. Instead of porshe and random pop star skins why not focus on other charity organizations that need the funds & help?

Suggestion: Old ow credits should be more easily obtainable for playing the game. Why is this game so stingy with giving old OW credits? I only started playing with OW2 yet there are tons of old skins I want from OW1 but even though I play enough to complete all weekly challanges, other rewards etc. I'll never have enough coins for 6-7 year old skins, which is ridiculous. There is already very little free OW2 skins that F2P players can get, why not reward players that actually play this game with skins that you already gave for free years ago?

Making beam get smaller the higher its charge is effectively punishing Symmetra for being accurate. Also, Sym's beam is roughly half as wide as Moira's.

Suggestion: Normalize the health pools! There are too many different health totals across all of the non-Tank heroes (175, 200, 250, 275, 300, 350, and they're talking about bringing 225 back). It's messy, it makes breakpoints hard to balance, and it must be a nightmare for new players. Aside from Tracer and Bastion as specific exceptions, all non-Tank heroes should have either 200 or 250 HP, based on their playstyles. The tank role is just as bad by itself (525, 550, 625, 700, 725, 750, 775). Make it 500 HP for the small-bodied Tanks, 600 HP for the average ones, and 700 HP for the big bois. It's a lot cleaner, easier to balance around, and honestly it just makes sense.

Hot take: tank players have legitimate complaints about the certain characters and abilities in the game, I will admit, but they complain too much about the experience of playing tank, especially whenever it comes to the “fun” aspect of playing tank. Fun is a subjective term. It’s different for everyone.
