The Old Strzelecki Track - Innamincka through to the Gammon Ranges

The STRZELECKI TRACK ✊🏻 it’s always been a dream of ours to drive through as many of Australia’s great desert tracks as we can!
And we’re stoked that the Strzelecki Desert is the first one to be ticked off of our list!
The track is 475km from Innamincka to Lyndhurst, and is one of the most remote tracks in South Australia.

Amazing. I did that track 2014 in a 80 series towing a Jayco Swift. Lyndhurst to Cameron Corner. 436 kilometres of bone jarring corrugations. The kids still talk about today.

My old kombi "MOO" was 1976 1800cc twin carby and was so reliable. Converted it to K-Jetronic fuel injection but soon switched back, and that is another story! hahahaha

Hi guys we did that trip about fifteen years ago a the old track was mostly underwater, the flies were the same at the dig tree. cooper creek was high and the fishing was great. Made friends and stayed with the people that own the home stay in innamincaka great peolpe. good luck on more adventures.

I did the old strzlecki through innamincka and then out in the desert sand dunes to the national park in the desert called Coongie NP awesome place with amazing wildlife around the only water in the desert. Thanks for the reminders of good times past.. Woo Hoo

I worked all around this area as young fella back in the 90’s before the new strez was graded. Was great time in my life. Lots of challenges!!! Having to put cover over your tools as they too hot to use a minute after putting them down. Eating crib with the flies fighting you. Rolling the occasional Ute. Getting caught in downpours and floods even. Watching afl final/Bathurst etc at the pub. Fun time. Great video thanks for the memory…..knew combis were robust. But wow.

Threadlocker is your friend on corrugations. Use it on every bolt that ever comes loose. Great adventure. I have been playing catch up on the series. Looking forward to more.

Another great video guys. And….. the two fellas you spoke to in the Hilux are two brothers that I work with at Moomba gas plant. They often disappear into the desert on dodgy inspection jobs. They probably heard you coming and had to wake up!!!

Very impressive and I love your upgrades! I did want to ask about the rear hatch tent. In the states, you can really only get these in a thin rip-stop tent material. Those bush flies : did you know that the little black house fly and the little black bush fly look the same but are actual different ? Bush flies are terrified if confined indoors like in houses, cars, airplanes -- and basically panic trying to get out . Both don't grow after hatching. Different sizes come about according to amount of food they have when developing . So there's your 60 second dose of useless travel info . If you need to know about flies don't ask me cause that's all I know :) So; you were on the Block?!! :( . I didn't know as I never watched it or any the similar TV **** . Your rough and ready videos are so much better .
