Too much of your faces, too little of the scenery.

The 4x4 community is asshamed that you are not driving to save the country and to leave as little mark as possible… do not tear up the track for others…
@KarstanAndMaxineКүн бұрын
Tear up the track .. we did our best to avoid the flooded roads ( that went for 400m ) we missed one side track visible by drone but not when we were driving .. If anyone truly wanted to save tracks they would stay at home !! We do our best to reduce damage .. the top of this track was slippery and not deep so it was not damaged but required momentum so we did it. Get stuck .. thanks for your concern though

Its probably in a comment somewhere but can I ask where you got your actuators from plaase. Building a 4x4 truck myself and this is a great idea for the roof lift. Thanks for the great videos also. They are great.
@KarstanAndMaxineКүн бұрын
They are linear actuators from furgelli :-)

I gave you a thumbs down. Because you show more of yourselves, than the road and area you are travelling through. Sorry, but I am more interested in where you travel through.

This brings back memories of our adventure on our honeymoon December 1996 travelling in an old EH Holden station wagon and camping in a tent, no ac, no mobile phone, no 4wd. Went through all these amazing places, Little and Big Desert wilderness, Broken Hill, Silverton, Mutawintji, White Cliffs and Menindee Lakes. Always said we'd love to do this trip again, perhaps on our 30th anniversary, but maybe not in the summer. Thanks for the prompt 👍

In my world, USA, Pacific Northwest, there is a Maheur Cave that has a small lake at the lowest point. At some point, there were small row boats, but none are left now. It is privately owned, and only open to the public a few times a year. When I was a kid, we went inside twice without permission.

Anyone unsure on the Cocky Gate, heres a good little clip on how they work and how to correctly close them. Used on a lot of farms and as a result a lot of bush tracks that run through stations or faming land. 👍 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eoSlpYyLbq5oY6ssi=ARqUEIngrmHsQgiY

We camped at Koonalda Station a few years ago and have been told that many of the old vehicles have been removed by car enthusiasts which is unfortunate . There were a large number of old Land rover’s so don’t know how many are left . It is controlled by Parks SA and you are meant to book a camp site on line . We didn’t know that at the time we stayed coming from the west . The fencing was not there at the cave and you could walk down into the cave .

Oh the old Eyre H’way . What an adventure it was . We drove from Darwin to Perth in October 1972 in a GTR 2 door Torana . The road from Alice Springs to Port Augusta was gravel and off course the Eyre H’way was the main road thoroughfare to WA border . It was just a road back then . No car dramas . In 1974 we drove a Ford Cortina . We had troubles with that vehicle and ended up starting the gravel at 6pm , around midnight we stopped at Ivey Tanks Roadhouse , half way , for the best bacon burger we have ever had . We arrived at Streaky Bay at 6am . 12 hours , no problems , we were 25 years old , young and adventurous . It was a busy road , cars , trucks continuously . So glad you enjoyed the road .

Awesome ep guys I have spoken to some old guys that remember driving the old road … In an FJ Holden… Spoke of holding long neck beers out the window with a wet towel around them trying to cool them down enough to drink …. Said the road was bloody rough Which is believable in an FJ with small wheels…. Great stories I drive across about 2 days ahead of you!

I've really missed watching your videos...been waiting patiently and boy is it paying off, so happy you're sharing with everyone again : ) as a 5yr old child my mother and I camped from Maryland USA to Prince Edward and across to Vancouver in our 1968 Opel Kadett Rallye (beautiful little thing Gold w/ black) pitchin our canvas tent every night for three months. I'll never ever forget it, which is one reason I love your films because even though I'm now 56 and a mother of three...I'm relating so much to Zuri and she reminds me of how I felt...like any thing is possible, on top of the world and experiencing life on my own terms instead of being told to sit and behave : ) good on you for helping your girls take on life in such a healthy, loving and inspiring way. Happy Australia Day K&M, Z&Z, so great to see you guys out doing the stuff that memories are made of. Good call taking that "road less travelled", people say crossing the "Plain is just a pain", but there's so much you miss taking the bitumen. One of my old mates abandoned an old Vauxhall Cresta out there on the old road in the 60's, probably one of the wrecks you were looking at. Cheers guys, great stuff.
