@hs3580 Pa ji they picked this sikh guy by design so as to discourage the other yatriz .Did u see he said " the security on pakistan side is loose or not upto the mark" whereas there is a layered digital security system'" a person without identification ( for example a pakistani wants to slip through with Yatriz going back , the security system will activate numerous buzzers and beepers and he is surrounded by the security personnel in a fraction of a moment.

Sad to see how India is treating its own citizens by having them jump all the senseless hoops , like having a passport, apply for ETA , pics taken , police visiting them at house, whereas Pakistan is not requiring passport or any of the things. Pakistan should have required all that afterall its opening its borders for forigners, but Pak wants to make its easy for our SIkh brothers and sisters. Shame on you India.

I was just watching an Indian channel where Sikh Yatrees trying to use Kartapur Laanga and were being turned back because they did not have a passport. Please let your viewers know that passport requirement is from Indian government and not from Pakistan side. Pakistan will welcome any Yatree and the only requirement is some kind of identification which could be udhar card or a driving licence although a passport will fulfil this ID requirement nicely but it is not a 'must have' item.
