I'm also an artist and I have to say - yes, simpler art is faster and easier usually - but to be able to draw them in such a distinctive stylized style (as you have) and so fast you have to be a master of your art. Really cool to see the animals reduced to their basic features.

You should make this a series! I absolutely love the simple design. Drawings don't need lots of detail to still be cute. If you do a series you should definitely add a cheetah (in a long thin running pose) and a jaguar (stubby strong built). Some more animals to consider panda, honey badger, meerkat, sugar glider, ferret, hyena, african wild dog, persian (fluffy flat flaced cat), sea lion (longer and more slender body than a seal), goblin shark, whaleshark, spermwhale, butterfly (the orange one with some black outlines, I think it's the Monarch) and more cat and dog breeds (since a Great Dane, Chihuahua and Poodle all look very different)

for bugs you could do some of the more detailed ones like a ladybug, scorpion, beetle, mantis, moth, butterfly, spider, firefly, bee, and similar to the snake i think a worm would be very cute :) other animals i would love to see is a rat, chihuahua, penguin, dragon, starfish, deer, koala, chameleon, crocodile/alligator and sting ray

I think the reason why people would be sad about their art skill being at level 1 horse skill is that if that’s your best, it could be hard to begin a career. (Not impossible, but difficult.) Especially when you know Kelsey didn’t grow to over a million followers only drawing level 1 horses. Her art style has evolved over time on the channel and is more on the simple side (although I wouldn’t call any of the ant mazes simple at all), but it isn’t as simple as level 1 horse. We love her art, don’t get me wrong, and I think the point she’s making is that you don’t have to wait until you’re a master realistic portrait painter to think of your art as good. Her simple style is great and we all love it, so there will be people out there that could fall in love with your art too. So anyone that is sad to be at level 1, (whether art is your dream career or not) just keep practicing! Art is a skill that can be improved on over time. So don’t be discouraged be your level one art. Find some old school tutorials and keep practicing. And if you’ve seen Kelsey’s videos, she is capable of doing a more realistic style, beautifully at that, but it’s not her preferred style. Which is part of my point here. There is no art style better than another art style when it’s all subjective. Do what you love. Perfect your way of doing what you love. Also, you don’t have to wait to have a million subscribers to sell level 1 art stickers. Take a look at Etsy and there are a ton of people making money (with small social media visibility) with art that might even be level 0.5. You can do it too! ❤
