Maybe it's just my style but I freaking love 7-speeds and I keep them much lower. If I want to throw a stock hyzer I'll just use a putter or a mid. I reach for a River / Cicada / Brave when I want 100m ish super flat and low with a big fade, or skip shots. I don't think launching them on stock hyzers justifies their existence. That's where I see this disc landing. Homie it also takes 3 seconds to ask ChatGPT how to pronounce things, said with ❤.

Probably the most Teebird disc that has come out of Europe so far. Would've been nice to see a shot or two on anny to see whether it likes to hold the line for a while or just start fading back immediately.

Explorer

@@MegaLaban12345 I've bagged four different (three plastics) Explorers and none have been even remotely as stable as a new Teebird. That being said, I have seen Ricky and Lauri Lehtinen throw some, maybe Opto-X, that are close but I really can't give the title to Explorer based on my experience, From what I've heard, Evader has probably been the closest one, or FD1.

The explorer mold is more or less an exact copy of the teebird mold so all the difference is in the plastic. Lehtinen Opto Ice from last year are more stable than some of my felons, it's very beefy. I guess this year's opto-x version is similar but I haven't tried it yet. Lehtinen gold orbit are my favorite ones, they start out kinda stable but quickly beats in to very straight and reliable. Moonshine Explorer is also pretty beefy, not much turn in the ones I have at least. I chose Explorer over teebird because living in Sweden it's easier to get them in different plastics and easy to find used explorers for cheap.

@@Matarro1980 I mean I have the Orbit Gold Explorer and the only thing is different between that and the Orbit Gold River is that it's 15m shorter. What I mean is that it was very flippy out of the box compared to Teebirds. And if I want to compare two molds, I'd do it based on the standar "Star" and "Champion" version, not some limited run outliers. If you compare a standard Opto Explorer with a Champion Teebird, they are worlds apart. Same for Star vs Gold. I had a Glimmer Halloween Maverick that was more overstable than any of my Explorers, so I could say Maverick is the Trilogy Teebird. Which it ofc isn't.

@@jannejaakkola5836 It's like we're talking about different discs. Lehtinen gold orbit explorer for me is pretty stable when new, on a max effort throw it will have a slight turn but still a good fade. After a couple of rounds it will be very straight and stay that way for a long time, it gets flippy eventually but it takes a while. I've had several and they've all been similar. My explorers max out at slightly over 120m but my typical throw is closer to 100m. I'm at sea level, just for reference. Maybe you have a cannon for an arm or maybe the explorer doesn't sit well in your hand? How far do you typically throw fairways? The only river I've ever thrown was a gold decodye that was so flippy that I never gave the mold another chance. And I agree that regular teebirds are more stable than regular explorers but Innova plastics in general are beefier than trilogy plastics. It's reasonable to compare discs based on the standard plastics but there are so many different versions of explorers available all the time, it's almost easier to get an opto-x explorer than a Climo teebird.

The mint coloured first runs are usually always a little more stable than the stock discs. Just something to keep in mind with Kastaplast.
