Hey Austin! Great Review, man! Well done. I ended up getting one of those as well (received it yesterday). About the "gestures" for strafing and backward movement, at first i ran into the same issue as you... but in fact the problem is you're trying to use the exact same gestures as for the Kat Walk C. In fact, for the Loco S it's a totally different movement with lateral strafing. To sum up, if you want to strafe right for instance...you have to stand on your right heel, then do a quick "there and back" rotation to the right. It will trigger the strafe movement. Then to stop the gesture, just lift your right foot and slam it on the floor. It's exactly the same movement in symmetry for the left side.

The reason that these would not work as trackers is drift. It would need either cameras like Oculus' inside out tracking, or base stations like steamvr tracking. Things like slimevr are able to count for this with way more trackers, and incredible software. Hope i was helpful!

Hi, I received mine two days ago. I find this mode of movement very imprecise ... there is latency between the moment you start "walking" irl and the moment your avatar moves. The same at the end of the race: you physically stop and your character continues to walk for a little while, which causes a collision with the environment. Do you have any advice for me please?

I don't know why you enjoy it if some of the gesture doesn't work. It will be annoying while shooting and you can't move side to side.

It's nice to have something easy to use and really compact. I was informed after the video that I was doing the gestures wrong. So it's more me not knowing how to properly use it that's the problem.

I want to get this but.... I bought the Cybershoes and hardly used them at all. This does look better since you're standing up and not perched on a stool, but I dunno. I guess this works for Quest and PC both now so that's a plus...

I made my own Omnitreadmill at home using a personal trampoline with a adjustable bar and a vest to hold me in place..would these still work well if i am actually walking normally instead of stepping in place?

That’s a good question. My guess would be yes, but I’d hate to tell you it would and then it not work. I’ll try to test this soon and let you know.
