Katarina is the Best Online Character... No One is Better

Wasn't too long when Katarina was considered a LOW (not even mid) tier character... especially when Forsen was playing her. Stating that her moves "are easily side-steppable", referring to her strings which are indeed steppable. But when Knee plays her... now she's suddenly good. What do you know... don't finish whiffed strings = makes a character good.

Basically in the tekken community they place half of the cast lower tier than they actually are and the worst part is even the best players in the world frequently do this. So basically play mid tier characters because eventually someone will discover something op/busted with them.

@@wildman7220 She is bad against characters with counterhit/keep out mids like Jin and dragunov. She is very linear. Jin is especially bad vs her, cuz his neutral is great and Kat's is ass (he can also launch FC df4). She is great against characters with sluggish CH moves and bad poking. She is great vs mishimas, vs bigs. She is great vs hwo (her FC df4 is really good vs him) etc

respect to the next level good Eddys out there, youre a rare breed. On the flip side... nothing is better than watching a hyper aggro flow chart mashing Eddy take the losses. I know we all have fun in different ways but i dunno how someone can play 3000 games just mashing flow charts and not thinking, analyzing, adapting. But if theyre having fun then good for them. way to go main man.

Hope she's brought back for Tekken 8. She was the first Tekken character I learned how to play with so I definitely have a soft spot for her. Don't have much hope for her return though judging by how many people apparently thinks she is the worst thing in existence for some reason.

Because Kat not hard to play pretty much in my opinion and most have negative attitude towards the character (even some you tubers) and people follow the sentiment. They find a Katarina and get beaten up and since Kat is notorious you get the hatemail. I mean she's go like 70 moves, probably the lowest in the game. Her 33333 and 44444 strings sticks out the most even though hardly used if you're playing to actually win a game. I main Kat but she's not the total package, I don't think she's even complete as character.

Of course she has long legs as well and for whatever reason decided to wear her string above her pants while licking her lips in one of her intro poses. Tldr: she looks like a crack hoe (which is a bummer cause i heard that her voice actress is really cool)

By flowchart TMM is meaning that the Eddy player has a bunch of pre-planned sequences or "flow charts". But a player who only does flow charts, especially one who incorporates knowledge check based sequences into their flow charts, won't be very effective against people who know his possible sequences and where the gaps/punish windows are. Compare this to what TMM is calling a "strong fundamental player" who yes will use some flow charts, but is also completely aware of his characters limitations and assumes you are as well, and so opts to play greater mixups and go for safe pressure with adaptable sequences rather than pre-planned sequenced options.

Katarina is a character made for people who are new to Tekken and fighting games in general to help focus more on the game mechanics and learning the game without the stress of having to deal with execution. Just like Lars. Characters like her are important to fighting games they're casual friendly which is like 90% of the player base. I hope she in T8. She doesn't deserve the hate she gets when she hard as hell to win with at high levels of play.
