The last vintage quite bag was my pick of your latest treasures, I love that you are repurposing an already up cycled quilt. The flower, lace & button combo was very inspirational to me. Kate, quilts made years ago were made out of necessity. People couldn’t afford store bought ones. They (well my knowledge from my grandmother) were made from squares or shape cut from the family’s worn clothing or scraps from clothing that was made. I remember a few pieces of scraps from dresses that she had made for me.

You had me laughing when you said if you cut the corner off the (thinnest hankie I've ever seen), it will reduce the weight in your luggage. Just brilliant. The little strawberry shaped thing in the small package that had wooden spools that would have been attached to a tomato shaped pin cushion and it is used to sharpen your pins and needles

Too bad you couldn’t visit all the beaches listed The Beach Boys Surfin Safari! I use to live at the beach all summer. A true California girl. 😂 I miss the hot days of summer spending all day in the waves. Warm water. It was a wonderful carefree time. I’m so happy you could visit the best part of our state.

I went to the ocean yesterday (between shopping) and can just imagine how it was to grow up with this...I can tell your beach girl is still in your heart........thank you for sharing........I have my denim embroidered jacket on to wear home on the plane (a San Diego purchase that will always make me smile..).xxxxxx
