Kate Chaney backflips overnight on live sheep export ban

The government's decision to ban live sheep exports was supported by West Australian Teal MP Kate Chaney however she has sensationally changed her mind.
Liberal MP Keith Pit Joined Sky News host James Macpherson and Danica De Giorgio to discuss the independent MP's recent backflip on the live sheep export ban, just one day after she stated her support.
"She was one of the strongest calling for an end to the trade and clearly what's happened now is the research and the polling says the opposite and survival is everything for members of parliament," Mr Pitt said.
"Clearly ideals don't matter anymore it's about actually not being defeated at the next election, and this is a big deal in Western Australia."

A live sheep boat got turned around and sent back to Australia, after weeks on that boat the mortality rate of the sheep was less than if those same sheep were still in the farmers paddocks. That is a fact.

There is no need to subject sheep to the horrific conditions on board a ship. Many die en route in appalling condition. Stop this horrible practice, farmers can sell to local markets.
