Until this year Aminata with Love Injected (Latvia 2015) was my favourite entry of all time. How did Australia not win or at least come top three this year? What's wrong with people? They're not deaf because they liked Netherlands and his voice is great too. So they must be either blind or broken or something. Love you Kate! This is just spectacular!

Since Australia isn't Europe, it can only do either really well or really bad depending on the song they send. Good songs have granted them top 10 places. Mediocre or bad songs like 2021 or that voice crack guy got absolutely smashed by the televote. There's no in-between

it really wasn't. if you watch the other jury final videos of this performance, you realise it's just the angle this was filmed from that makes it looks like she was almost touching her. but there was quite a distance between them like the one uploaded by roi (watch?v=dhM7T63T3YA) is shown pretty much from the front, and you can see just how much distance there was between them

The winner had a piano and a light globe , meanwhile KHM with two dancer where swinging 10-12 feet in the air , singing opera/pop while controlling the pole by herself and the visuals with them gliding over earth was breathtaking .. and she was placed 9th that night? .. Kay ..

She’s standing on a small platform kind of thing. Her legs are strapped in so this requires a lot of core strength! When getting up and down, the basically climb up and down themselves, that’s the most dangerous part!

I think they're the same sort of poles that performers like Cirque du Soleil use - I doni't think they are athletic pole vaults. Either way they are not for the faint hearted - Kate learned how to use it with some rapid training just for this performance
