This video is so appreciated! I finally opened my shop 6 days ago and have been tweeking my SEO's with every listing. Today I made my first sale and realized there was an issue with my POD connection to etsy. I manually entered the order myself and am working on connecting everything else. Would you recommend duplicating listings?? I’ve heard someone say it’s a good idea cause you have more listings which kinda pushes your store and makes it more visible for the shoppers. Thank you❤️

I don’t think it’s a good idea to maintain duplicate listings long term. It can be helpful to create, say, 2 duplicates with one part different between the two to test (title SEO, thumbnail photo, etc) but the purpose really is just to test which listing performs better and once you’ve determined that, remove the other (so you don’t end up hurting both by spreading out the views and sales across both- better to put everything behind the best one to cause it to rank higher). Hope this makes sense!

So I started with digital products and then found printify. I am not sure if I should continue with digital products or try printify, or even offer both. This is probably unrelated to the video, but how to have suspended shop to make sales again? My Etsy shop was suspended for no reasons, and before that, it was doing quite well for a new shop. I’ve got at least 1-3 sales a day. Not really much, but it has the momentum going for me. Now that momentum is gone, in which, no thanks to Etsy, my question is what am I supposed to do with my shop after it being suspended and losing that momentum?

I started a shop selling SVG files 2 years ago. Up until Spring this year, my sales were going consistently up by thousands of views and was make 3000K a month. Now my sales have been going down consistently through the months and now I make only 1000K a month, a two third drop!. Summer is over and my sales should have picked by now but they are still going down. The recession maybe? I just don't know.. Not as reliable source of income that I hoped for. Thankfully I have Zazzle stores that seems more consistent.

For sure! There are lots of platforms other than Facebook you can use to get the word out- Instagram, Pinterest, KZbin, TikTok, Blogs, Podcasts, Email list, etc :)

Hi Kate! I really appreciate your content and advice. I’ve had an Etsy shop for a couple of years selling digital dog kennel build plans. I have been wanting to branch out into other digital items like printable art and workbooks, but am not sure if I should start a second shop or just separate the items by sections within the same shop? I don’t want to confuse the customer. If I do start a second shop will I be starting from ground zero being that I won’t have any previous reviews to lean on? Thanks in advance! Happy holidays!

Yes, I would recommend starting a new shop for this. Do you have a way to communicate with your customers such an email list or Facebook group? If so, you could use this to let them know about your new shop to help drive traffic. You can also link your new shop through your current one.

This may be a silly question to some people but I'm not sure about this: even after offering them a coupon or something like that, do we have to pay the influencer a certain amount of money, or any money at all? Or is it just that one offer that we make?

Not a silly question at all! Normally you’d offer either free product for the influencer or payment in addition to the coupon code for their audience. Influencers would mostly rather be paid monetarily but many will still collab for free/gifted products (they can then have something of yours to personally show and feature).

Hey friend! So glad to help! It’s a bit different for each platform but say it’s on Instagram- you’d search within your specific niche. So search using relevant hashtags (ex- #customhomedecor if you’re in the home decor niche)- then start looking through the accounts that come up to see how many followers and what type of content they are posting and engagement they are getting on their posts. There’s also a “suggested accounts” section on IG that can be helpful (suggested when you’re looking at a specific profile for others that are similar).

My halloween themed etsy shop is getting some views, but not gettings sales (elricsworkshop). The problem is that, i have a VERY niche product that i sell. I sell a few different things, poem books, decorations, but....the other thing i sell is a papercraft construction kit to make a full life size skeleton horse. There's nothing else like it, i've tried looking around to get an idea, but there's nothing to base it off of. So, my niche is so different, i have a hard time even getting the word out. I thought of trying to reach out to some cosplayers here on youtube, and seeing if they'd be interested in using my templates to make it as a series on their channel, showing how you can make the skeleton and variations on it.
