Yeah....I still have a pretty well worn copy of Live at the Tahoe, and it's hands down one of the best live performances put on wax....Never expected KH to praise it like she did, but every time I play it to folks who haven't heard it, just love it, regardless of whatever genre of music they're into...I even love his cover of Light My Fire on that one, and I loathe The Doors..More ears need to hear that!!

That live Issac Hayes album KH raves about is in fact one of the best live albums of all-time...and the point she made about talking in-between songs and then re-listening to the Live Tahoe record really struck a chord...That crowd was transfixed with every word coming out of Isaac's mouth in-between the songs, but besides that his band is on fire and he even covers Light My Fire spectacularly and I can't fucking stand The Doors...A must hear!!

I remember the first time I listened to Rebel Girl. I was already listening to a lot of punk back then but wasn't really aware of the riot grrrl movement. Quickly fell down the rabbit hole and found myself in female punk wonderland. That's what inspired me to make art and work with other people who want to make art. Great to see her every now and then.
