I love to toss warm toasted almond slices on my banana “ice cream”. So yummy! You really feel like you’re doin something wrong😎haha! I made four batches of strawberry creami ice cream today. I have to heat the berries up before I add them because lectins hate me. Wow, did they make some sweet treats. Also, I used to drink organic almond milk before I found out they add preservatives before they package at a separate facility. It was giving me horrible migraines. Just a heads up for anybody out there per chance in the same boat. Definitely going to watch more of your vids. 👍

You really could use smoothie, ice cream, or sorbet. Because bananas make for a softer mixture than other fruits. I usually err on the side of caution and spin on sorbet or light ice cream if I'm not sure, and smoothie if there's a lot of banana.

I have already frozen whole bananas. Can I just dice them, toss them into the creami and make ice cream, or do I need to thaw, mash, freeze and creamify?
@KathyHesterVeganRecipes Жыл бұрын
The Creami isn't a blender, instead, it finely shaves the mixture, so it needs to be a frozen solid block. Because of that I'd at least half thaw them and make sure the pint is packed before you freeze. Once frozen solid you can spin it.

Ninja Creami is out of stock everywhere plus they are super expansive. Do you have nice cream tutorials on using a blender, processor or bullet type?
@KathyHesterVeganRecipes Жыл бұрын
I do not, but you can freeze the mixture in ice cube trays and let thaw 10 minutes, then blend in a high speed blender. It's not a perfect sub, but close enough.

Just soap and hot water will clean it just fine as your dish washer might make the plastic go cloudy

I have never liked banana ice cream. I much prefer putting sliced fresh bananas in a bowl and adding vanilla ice cream to the bowl. However, I will have to try your recipe in my new Ninja Creami to see if I like it.

I love it but some people just don't love banana nice cream. Have you tried the pineapple whip already? kzbin.info/www/bejne/hF6riWSdirFraKc

I don't have a button that says smoothie bowl, my settings are ice cream, lite ice cream, sorbet, gelato, frozen yogurt, creami italian ice, and then the drinkable side is creamiccino, frozen drinks, slushi and milkshake. So which button did you use. Thank you for your help.

If you don’t have a smoothie button, use sorbet.

How much milk did you use?
@KathyHesterVeganRecipes8 ай бұрын
Just fill to the line. You can play with the ratio between it and the ripe bananas to get the thickness and texture you prefer.

This machine seems too precious! I have a simple ice cream machine, and it's a lot easier . No dramas.

So dont use the ice cream setting for anything with banana?

The smoothie or sorbet - even light ice cream works.

In general, whether it is vegan or not, can I do it let's say Firday night, put it back to freezer and eat it on Saturday without mixing it again? Thank you!!
@KathyHesterVeganRecipes2 жыл бұрын
You want to spin it right before you eat it for the best possible texture. You can eat part, refreeze the pint and spin another day. If you make a high fat recipe, you may be able to store it like regular ice cream, but honestly, it takes 2 - 3 minutes to spin.
@IzannaK2 жыл бұрын
@@KathyHesterVeganRecipes thank you! I asked, since specifically I won't be able to use the device to do that. Fit hight fat it could work, I guess

So I tried it this Saturday. Spined on Friday night and then put it into freezer. On Saturday, I Had to wait a bit, 10 -15 minutes after taking it from the freezer, and it was pretty good. With the re spin probably would be better, but in a case that you're not able too, it is still very good

for £179 I thought it would do all the job. Get a cheap processor will do the same.
@KathyHesterVeganRecipes2 жыл бұрын
What part of the job do you feel it didn't do? I like it better than a blender because I don't have to add extra nondairy milk and make it too soft, and it's easier to clean than my food processor and I can process less - even 1/2 a pint. But you can, of course, make nice cream in your blender or food processor.

@ajb5114 blender and cream are not at all the same.
@ajb51142 күн бұрын
@@Tucker2love I think, you could get the same result by putting frozen ingredients in any Ninja Blender with Auto-IQ at high speed.

I was reading the comments and I’m not sure that anybody that lacks the ability to understand easy instructions, and can’t figure out how to wash it, should be purchasing any kind of electronic kitchen appliance.😂

It doesn’t have to be level if you get the little “mountain” in the middle. The instruction manual says that’s ok!

I disagree with that with whole food plant based recipes in particular. We are using no oil, and often dates as sweeteners. That makes the mix freeze much harder than traditional recipes with fat and refined sugar.
