Thanks for the tour and update. It's actually nice to see that even a modeler of your caliber has lots of proects that aren't quite done :-). Your layout is among those I am using for inspiration. I am fortunate enough to have a modest display layout, but it is two miles away from my nice warm basement. For years I have been putting off a home layout because I couln't get a "grand project" into my basement. Now I am going to put up a small switching layout just to have something to operate. You and other British modelers seem to make very nice layouts in small areas, so I am trying to steal ideas from you. I hope you had a merry Christmas and I wish you a wonderful 2018. I am glad that you will also be a presenter on MRVP. I'll be looking forward to seeing you there also.

Hi Gary, I think sometimes you just have to start. Big empires sound grand but they take a lot of time and money. I like the British sizes better as they feel achievable.

On my you tube kendra trains 32 for the outside and kendra trains 25 for the inside set. I love to create also and all the bridges and trestle on the inside layout are built from scratch. I only recently discovered your channel and I'm enjoying it immensely. I lived in Maine for a while and you're doing an amazing job of capturing the look and feel of the region. If I may humbly make a minor suggestion: more rocks. New England never became a productive farming region because there's rocks and outcrops all over the place. BTW I love your interpretation of Nabisco 😀

Thanks! I’m a bit undecided on where I am in New England but I can always add more rocks if needed!

Hello. It's great to see the New England forest in your layout. My New England State is 90% forested. One thing I didn't see is any lumber operations or sawmills on you layout. Maybe you've considered and rejected it already? Maybe you have it and I missed it. Lumber was a huge driver of the New England economy back in the day. Cheers!

I have noticed one main thing between a lady modeller and a gentleman modeller ... your far more tidy lol .if that layout board had belonged to a man it would have been strewn with old boxes , tea mugs ,magazines ,bits of old wire and track and rolling stock and of course paint tins and packets of half used filler and scatter lol...also ...pliers ...hammer ,box of mis matched nuts bolts and screws , ...you get my drift .its a great looking layout ,not many people doing the American over here to such a large size .I imagine you source most of your locos from ebay .I model british oo gauge but also on30 and Japanese n gauge and have lgb and other bits and bobs. I look forward to seeing it develop ,good luck and happy modelling .
