@@maevasmsn6268 this music really speaks to us, someplace old inside of us. A place connected to where we came from. Memories of things we never did. I think many of us have the same response when hearing it, still it is good to know that we are not alone and others feel the same.

Rán is the sea goddess, she is the reason women are bad luck while on board ships. She is a jealous goddess, jealous of the beauty of other women and she will bring rough seas to your voyage if you choose to bring women aboard.

Would be cool if they add that mythologic anecdote in the TV show Vikings, since they raid constantly with womens aboard, they talk so much about gods in there.

Swedish is the closest to the original Old Norse and Old English. Icelandic is also very similar. Norse and Danish have changed more and Finnish is quite different due to Karelian and Russian influences. I hope that helps.
@vanadis97903 жыл бұрын
@@keirfarnum6811 Icelandic is actually the closest to Old Norse, they can even read texts written in Old Norse and understand them. And Finnish doesn't just have different influences, it's not even related to Scandinavian languages. It's a Uralic language and it's related to Estonian and Hungarian
